I hate Keanu Reeves.

First, he takes a sci-fi classic and destroys it. Now he's doing it to my all time favorite anime series:
Keanu Reeves is looking to create a live-action Cowboy Bebop movie with Erwin Stoff, and he wants the role of Spike Spiegel.
Reeves revealed that this outline for the flick is currently focusing on the origins of the fictional “Bebop” drug developed by the military, which provides its users with a brief surge of superhuman reflexes and awareness. “We’re taking the Red Eye [story], the beginning part of the series,” he explained, “and then we’ll deal with the end of the series. We’re trying to figure out [the time frame]. We’re looking at the story right now.”
I'm having trouble articulating precisely how I feel about this, so I'm going to share with you my same gut reaction I posted to my LJ:

Speaking of Cowboy Bebop, I recall watching the series years ago and not being very impressed by it but I watched it again earlier this year and now I really like it.

This is pretty old news, but it's nice to have some solid confirmation of this. I've long held the opinion that Cowboy Bebop is the only good anime ever made, so I'm eagerly looking forward to it's complete disembowelment!

Is it? I try to avoid Reeves news because, as I believe I have made clear, I don't like him. OH WELL.

In the administrator's defense, it's true that there's absolutely no option to turn on html in phpBB3's administrator control panel. And the method to get it working is supposedly a cumbersome process involving a third-party program.
Sorry if you all wanted to continue to have a reason to call Holic mean names. I'm sure you'll find other reasons.

I always thought the series was overrated - 80% style and 20% substance. The only episodes I ever liked were Mushroom Samba, Toys in the Attic, and My Funny Valentine.
Reeves needs to fucking retire, though.
