What better way for PETA to spread their vege-love this Thanksgiving then to coincide with the newest Cooking Mama release? Pretty good quality for a flash game, though. I especially love how cracking eggs results in blood and feather coming out.

Not nearly as fun as lasagna.

They should never have made this game as graphically pleasing and fun to play.

Poultry farms are in fact among the cruelest corporate meat provider. PETA uses too much in your face violence and godly means to get the message across that in return they come off as sadistic wing nuts that care more for animals then humans. PETA needs to concentrate less on complete veganism and just get the word across about animal cruelty.

I played this on Newgrounds on the pretense that, well, that it was typical Newgrounds. PETA themselves are fucking nuts and border-line terrorists--they even force natural-born carnivores to eat vegan.

I'll agree, although they at least have a decent reason for not letting them roam free. Ever heard of the term "pecking order"? Guess where it came from.

When chickens are free to roam, they form a social hierarchy. The alpha bird get the most feed, the best insects, and any chicken that doesn't like it gets a beak to the eye. Farmers have to cut the last inch off the beaks of free-range birds so they don't mutilate each other. The hierarchy means one chicken is well fed, while the others get barely enough to stay alive.

....Although it couldn't hurt to give them a tad more space considering how cramped they are most of the time.

The meat industry in general is a corrupt pile of lies. PETA isn't any better. They murder shelter animals that otherwise might have gone to loving homes. There is no excuse for that.

PETA treats animals worse than the people they fight against.

I would almost compare PETA to the Church of Scientology on the premise of both groups using extreme measures to get what they want.

It disappoints me that PETA is the name and face of animal rights in North America, being completely fucking bat shit insane and all. What are the best animal rights charities/groups about at the moment? I'm really not up to date.

I volunteer at the SPCA. They don't really make a huge difference, but really, it's a sort of feel good job.

Has anyone seen the hilarious Press Release Majesco made as a result of the PETA game?

I've always thought being a vegetarian was a symbol of status. A lot of people are broke and can't afford to by organic vegetables when jack in the box you can get 2 tacos for 99 cents.

And I hate how people who are like vegetarians think they are better than you. It's like people that read books and always say the movie is crappier than the book.

I think that being a vegatarian (or even vegan) has to do more with politics than anything else. One of my cousins is a vegan and my dad believes that it has to do with my cousin's immediate family being liberal.

But... but the movie usually IS crappier than the book! I mean, there are exceptions -- say, Children of Men for a semi-recent example -- but books and movies are completely different medium and one doesn't translate to the other well unless the people involved know what they're doing. They usually don't.

The Lord of the Rings films are 10 times more interesting and immersible than the sleep-inducing fake history novels disguised as fantasy books.

Very true. Both my father and sister adore the LOTR books, but I couldn't get through the first one. "They walked through a forest. Then they camped in the forest. Then they walked through the forest. Then they heard a scary noise! SEGWAY TO THE FOREST'S SORDID HISTORY"

And then after that: "Segway to poems and songs about people who once lived in the scary forest."

Both the book and the movie are pretty pretentious.

Books and movies are both stories, but there are so many differences I believe that if you take a book and use it as a script, your movie will suck. Same reason why novelizations of movies pretty much just read like your friend telling you about the film they saw last night.

No, wait, I don't hate books, I hate people that read books so they can rub it in my face. They mostly read books so they can feel more accomplished then others.

Well, reading a book DOES demand an extra effort compared to watching a movie... but it's still nothing to brag about.
I think one simple truth in the matter is that the way you "see" the story on the book is almost always better than the film version - you imagine it with different actors, specific acting styles, maybe even animated; it's your own interpretation of what's written.

Well, a book uses four pages of exposition to describe the setting.

A film can just use an establishing shot.

Both require finesse.
