Miyamoto shows Wii Music to Preschoolers

You know, despite being not at all being like a game where you challenge yourself, I can kind of see the idea here. Like a Mario Paint based soley on music and for very young kids. Instead of being challenging, it's more of an inventing your own thing sort of process.

Invent? I thought all you do in Wii Music was alter how fast the game plays the music for you by randomly pressing buttons/waggling the Wii remote.

that game looks really stupid. It's a music game where you make just noise.

This is the stupidest "game" idea in a long string of stupid game ideas for the Wii.

I would have been bored out of my mind by this game, even as a pre-schooler.

I hope this game bombs. Nintendo's got to draw the line somewhere, and I think I've just come to terms with my innate desire to see Miyamoto fail at something.

As Calvin's father would say "it builds character". Miyamoto could stand to learn from a humbling experience.

The pitch for this game had to have been, "Can we just shit out anything to the casual market and make fuckloads of money?"

I can guarantee that the first sentence to greet most of the copies will be, "But mooooooommmm, I said I wanted Guitar Hero!"

I find it funny that a Sonic game fan community is so ready to condemn this. When was the last good Sonic Game again? :P Then again, I suppose those are condemned just as readily… ^^;

Iono, this don't look like much of a game, but at the same time, I'm sure there's something to it, so I'll wait 'till I see it in person to say more than that.

Sonic at least has a decent premise and usually always does.

"Playing random instruments to public domain songs with no scoring or goals" is not a good premise, period.

What if the goal was to screw around making music with your friends?

I have to say, it sounds like preschoolers are exactly the target audience for this. I mean they love just banging on pianos, and they'll probably think this is so much cooler, if someone can set it up for them.

I was playing a real instrument in preschool. Kids today are talentless, stupid and lazy.

I hate how Nintendo's megabucks marketing and Miyamoto's involvement in this makes me keep hearing about it.

Well, it doesn't look like anybody has any strong opinions on this subject.

I don't. Do I get a prize for my apathy?

...don't really care if I do, of course.
