So, small fry newly-established game studios can only come up with a small fry tappin' "game" and the promise of a character-based action title? Well no, certainly not.
Some other game studios DO deliver.

Falling gunfights, guillotines and vanishing clothing? Eh, feckit, I'm interested. Mildly.

Is that... Were those pistol platform heels?

I guess Madworld didn't count?

Looks awesome, what with the pistol pumps and Venom-esque jumpsuit. Even if it did turn up as another DMC variation, it has major style points.

I guess Nobi Nobi Boy made a showing too. I have no idea what it's about but the music creeps me the fuck out.

actually about the vanishing clothing, I heard that her clothes are made out of her hair that she fights with. and the more powerful attacks you do the more revealing her outfit gets. Platinum games sure is making awesome games though, I mean the company is pretty much made up of old clover members. I can't wait to see what game shinji mikami is going to make.

Oh cool, a Platinum thread. Yeah, everything they're putting out looks absolutely stellar.

Wouldn't it be neat if we had both Platinum and Clover characters in that rumored SEGA vs. Capcom game?

Well yeah, but pistol platform heels.

And defeated enemies explode in a bunch of gold rings. I mean, boy!

Aren't Clover characters property of Capcom now?

Huh, a new trailer. Now I know it really IS God May Cry with a chick and more obvious crotch shots. Oh well.

Finally, I can play Devil May Cry without having my sexuality questioned.

I've never played a game with explosions of gold rings!

I dunno, 'holic. Something about this Bayonetta chick just screams "drag queen" to me.

No weh. That was way too tight a jumpsuit and far too many crotch-shots to not notice a smuggled sausage.

I didn't realize it was still a question.

I was interested in the game upon its announcement but the trailer is essentially a DMC5 with a female playable lead and a ridiculous amount of perversion.

I think I'm probably already permanently burned out on these type of games.

Seriously though, is this based on something published by Image Comics in the 1990s?

There is only one female action hero. She has many costumes.

English accent? Emo glasses? I already like it more than DMC. Won't buy it, though. I'll watch the demo play through the window of Dixons, steaming up the glass and playing pocket billiards.
