SO. Punch Out Wii. I'm glad to see the boxing portion of Wii Sports expanded into it's own game, since that was the best part of it.
Also, they better keep the wacky characters and including some special moves and the ability to play as characters besides Little Mac would be nice.
Discuss.

The footage in the gameplay montage down at the bottom here looks an awful lot like traditional Punchout and not much like Wii Boxing, or at least, that ol' left-right-left-right combo looks a lot like the 8-bit one, just all 3D-ified. I like how Glass Joe gets the croissants knocked out of him when he hits the mat.
I'm really curious about that "Cosmic Worker" game, with the guy flying through space, and of course Sin & Punishment 2.

I still hope the boxing is done with the Wiimotes.
There's some good-looking stuff here: Klonoa, Tenchu, Harvest Moon/Rune Factory, New Dynamic, Endless Ocean 2 (Fuck yes), Cosmic Walker, and Takuto of Magic look interesting.

Nintendo offically kicked more ass today than the last 2 E3s combined.
BTW, they're really rolling out the Captain N alumni lately. Pit in SSBB, Simon & Mega Man getting new games & even the hippo is back. Giant talking game boys can not be far behind.

I for one really enjoyed Nintendo's "sorry about e3" event. Not exactly mind-blowing, but it's nice to be reassured that there are a sizable chunk of interesting looking games on the way after all. I am intrigued by Sin and Punishment 2, Cosmic Walker, Muramasa, Let's Tap, and the remakes of Another Code and Klonoa.Well, and I guess Punch-Out, but my brain really struggles to imagine any way where that isn't going to control terribly.
Rereleasing certain Gamecube games as budget titles with updated Wii controls is a great idea, too. Well, I don't know if Jungle Beat is a good idea, but Pikmin and especially Metroid Prime should work well!

If they had the balls to make the default control scheme 2 Wii remotes, both with Wiimotionplus then it could potentially control amazingly well. Of course, naturally that isn't going to happen.
In all honesty it wont surprise me if it doesn't even use motionplus at all and if it doesn't then yeah realistically it probably wont be any better than Wii Sports boxing, unless they've just decided to go with really simplistic gestures and very basic punches.

I'm not interested in a single thing Nintendo showed last night.

For some strange reason, I expected this topic to be about McDonald's bringing back Mac Tonight.

I think I can count the number of times I've seen you be positive about anything they've showed (ever) on one hand.
One hand with all the fingers cut off.

Man, that's some nice Space Harrier III!
And what's with the light blue/ stark white character design?
But hey, it's Treasure! Big hope.

The real question is, why does the character tiptoe about daintily in the strafing sections like he's salsa dancing? Gay salsa dancing? He probably flies around whenever he can manage because he doesn't want Ruffian grunts mocking his elegant form.

remakes of Another Code
Wait, it's a remake? Does that mean it's got the same story but new puzzles (as I would assume it'd have to)? Or is it literally just Another Code 3D? Which I don't think would be possible. I don't remember that dude with the cowboy hat, anyway.
There's alot of stuff in here that looks pretty good. This is the best showing Nintendo's had in a few years.

Awesome, my desire to play that game just rose. Even if it was a remake I probably would've gotten it for delicious 3D Ashley though.
I wonder what they'll call it when they bring it over to America? I mean, you're not exactly tracing on the wiimote.

O hey, they also confirmed Club Nintendo for the US!
This is the best event ever. This is, like, New SpaceWorld or something, it's so awesome.
