Artifacts

Post by Green Gibbon! »

For some time now I have been searching, with no luck, for a couple of old anime series: Maicching Machiko-sensei and High School Kimengumi. I'm pretty sure neither one has ever been released in the US in any form - I don't even know if Kimengumi was ever released on DVD anywhere in the world. I've seen a Japanese DVD box set of Machiko for sale at Play-Asia or something, but for some unfathomable reason, the price is $1,000. I'm pretty sure the equivalent weight in gold wouldn't be worth that much. Does it come with a life size, fully automated robo Machiko? Or maybe a real life Machiko cosplay girl to keep?

Anyway, I would love to get my hands on either series, preferably actual physical discs that I can watch on my TV, but at this point I'll take downloads. I've already asked Poopridge and he was no help except to have me Google a long dead torrent, but there are lots of people here cooler than him. Right?

What's the plot synopsis for these ancient anime shows that are worth one month's pay?

I found High School Kiimengumi here:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/search?q=Hig ... mengumi&o=

I found a .torrent of the first six episodes of Maicching Machiko-sensei, but they're raws:

http://www.torrentradar.org/genSubs.php ... name=Anime

Does that help?

With your mother, sure. I'm trying to find any anime porn that doesn't have a remarkably shiny, well-animated version of your mother in a central role, but those Japs are totally obsessed with your mom and I guess I can't blame them. The things that woman can do with a few tentacles is amazing.

Mercy bookoo. I think that might be the torrent I already tried, but I'll see.

Also, was the original Dirty Pair ever released on DVD (here)?

Not that I'm aware of--it's hard enough trying to find a decent Dirty Pair torrent out there as it is...

The original Dirty Pair never came to the U.S. It was fan subbed in its entirety if I remember, though.

Really? I could swear it was released on VHS. Unless I'm maybe thinking of Bubblegum Crisis.

Looks like only some ten or so OVAs were released, not the TV series proper.
