I wonder if this game will finally be released. I mean, after 10 years, they just got to!

I don't like the new "Bruce Willis on steroids" face, I think I prefered the other one, a bit of a mix of Bruce Campbell and Schwartzeneger.

I wonder anybody even cares anymore. I remember seeing screenshots on the 3D Realms website when I was 10.

I care. I care loads. Duke Nukem 3D was my first FPS. I pretty much grew up on it.

Yeah. I remember seeing an ad in some GamePRO magazine or something like that when I was about 12. Now there's a lot of people who have no idea who Duke Nukem is.
It wasn't my first FPS, I had Wolfenstein and Doom before that. Even those crappy Heretic and Hexen. But sure Duke3D was one of the best. Duke Nukem Forever coming out is kinda like Doom 3.

Like most of the other FPS' I like, My dad got into Duke Nukem 3D. If Forever gets released, I hope they port it to consoles. I don't use my computer for gaming.

I am maybe overly disturbed that Gearbox is doing it.
Gearbox never does anything right. I can only hope enough of the game was laid out in front of them and they are not allowed to do a single new idea on their own. Just maybe it might come out good.

This game was never going to and never will live up to the hype and anti-hype surrounding it now. It is literally impossible.
It's going to be a completely average, forgettable affair at best, and will only be remembered for its disastrous development that destroyed companies and careers.

3D Realms employees spent most of their time playing Pog and World of Warcraft. They are also all obese, rarely shave, and drink excessive carbonated and/or alcoholic beverages.
I do not think Duke Nukem Forever was the cause of all their problems.

The first level, titled "Duke Lives," begins with a urinal, pull Right Trigger to pee. After relieving yourself, you turn around and find yourself in a bathroom. Just like in Duke 3D, the interactive elements are novel. Look, there's Duke in a mirror. Look, you can pee.

You can aim the urine at various objects, I hear.

Technically, you could pee in 3D, too, except this time they're actually bothering to show the urine stream.
Technological advancement at its finest.

Let's think of a list of all the games where you can pee.
There's Conker, obviously, and Okami. What else?

Duke Nukem 3D
Postal 2
Heavy Rain (I actually made a point to use every single toilet in the game and was disappointed there wasn't a trophy for this)

The Sims series
Imagine Babyz series
South Park
Also how do you pee in Okami? I only got as far as looking at her anus.

I never considered this would be the case, but now that the game's actually getting released, it's kind of depressing. I was only ever in it for the folklore element, but now that it
exists, there's no mystique, no prospect of a digital ambrosia man was never meant to experience, just an FPS with a guy that says funny things. It should've remained as a hollow entity whose sole purpose is to reflect the technology of the times with a handful of screenshots and a teaser trailer showcasing the latest engine change every 5 years.
'Holic beat me to it, but I'm going to name Postal 2 anyway and emphasize that it features
the most spectacular implementation of pissing to date. Do you have to be able to see the stream of urine for it to count, though? If not, I know Ty the Tasmanian Tiger had outhouse checkpoints. And this is a completely different matter altogether, but the unreleased Genesis game
ResQ had one or two shit-splattered toilets on display towards the end of the game, and the ending treats you to an image of the protagonist sitting on a toilet with his boxers down while the credits roll and nothing more. The game was a real trailblazer.

I remember there was a scene in MGS2 where you get peed on by a guard.
Also Octacon pees his pants in MGS:Twin Snakes

lol you actually played that game?

I had cash to burn, I was in dire need of a platformer and the cover was colorful enough to reel me in. I suppose it could've done with an extended rental instead, but it was apparently good enough for me to clear 100% and it left me satisfied, so I've no complaints.
A few years later, I bought Ratchet & Clank 2, played it for roughly one hour, put the game down and never touched it again. R&C is supposed to be good, right?

Ritz, that account reminds me of Scaler, an obscure PS2 platformer that I picked up at Cex for £2 on a whim. It was pretty good.

Ty's advertising campaign put me off of the game, honestly, but I heard the game itself wasn't half-bad. I've been vaguely tempted to try it out just in case, but never actually bothered.

In LOL (Lack of Love) on the DC you play as an evolving organism and peeing is a core mechanic, used to trigger events that don't really make any sense.
No More Heroes counts, right?

Cubivore has you shitting everywhere, pretty sure pissing to mark your territory was in there, too.
Super Tempo has young insect boys pissing all about in one stage, even revealing the water holes were urine and the the falls were a steady stream you could swim up only to find the source to be yet another bug kid.
Kato-chan & Ken-chan had whoever you didn't pick harass you throughout the game. At some point they'd be pissing on the walls. This was of course edited out in the localization, J.J. & Jeff, where the character kind of stares at the wall like a retard.
