NiGHTS is coming to GameTap

As of 2008, anyway.

Well, this'll be good. Hopefully they can lead into more rare titles for the console - I'm hankering for a (comparatively) cheaper version of Panzer Dragoon Saga myself. I mean, sure, the cheapest fee is a yearly $80 (the 99-cent one only lasts you the first month, then it jumps up to like $20 a month or something), but that's better than the one-time fee of ~$200 eBay puts up, and nets me nearly 1,000 other games as well. What's not to like?

I need to sign up for GameTap sometime...

Also HTML needs fixing, nao

Seeing as how the PS2 port is going to be Japan-only, this'll likely be the best chance most have of ever playing the game.

(Not that it's that difficult to purchase a Saturn and the game itself over eBay...)

I might get NiGHTS over GameTap simply so I can know what everyone's talking about.

Also in the downloading old games over the Internet department, Sonic 1 is now on the iPod. I can't think of a platform less suited to a Sonic game than a freakin' iPod, but reports I've heard are at least a bit better than expected. It's a port, not an emulation, and the music doesn't loop; they recorded a full 10 minutes of each track.

Actually GameTap is 60 dollars for a year. So it's not that bad. But I'm sure everyone who wants to play it this way, like myself, will do it for the dollar then never touch it again. They have some other games like Panzer Dragoon, so I'm a bit curious how good their emulation(porting?) is.

Also the PS2 port might not be so bad. There's apparently supposed to be a PS2 mod-chip memory card released soon(VAST, I think). Assuming it works right, is affordable, and isn't some lie; that should make things much easier.

And they recorded 10 minutes of each track?! What a horror! I don't want the loop cutting off after I'm playing an act for 10 minutes. Oh wait.

How are you supposed to play NiGHTS with a keyboard?
I hope it'll be compatible with game controllers, it might be a blast to play with the Xbox 360 one.
