And to think we knew him when all he really wanted was a high
post count.

Woah, so is he some sort of numbers fetishist or something?

He apparently has (or at least had) the highest gamerscore in the world. Microsoft invited him to some ceremony at their corporate HQ one or two years ago. He told me and the other few guys who still hang out at the first message board he joined (GameFAQs) about this shortly after it happened and invited us all to his private board on his
official website, but nobody really went for it. I considered sharing this, but couldn't find a news article to back it up. And I didn't want to make fun of him.

Maybe he has something for numerology.
I wonder if--no,
how many RRoD's did he get during his sugar-rush-like streak.
And I'm somewhat envious of how
some of you are e-famous as well.

You don't have to be envious of internet fame, dude. But Blaze-- now that's something to aim for.

Please, as if it takes any length of notoriety to get yourself a satire page on ED. I'm half-surprised I don't have one already, that's how commonplace they are. (The other half, of course, realizes that I'm nowhere near important enough in any community that ED would scathingly satire for it to matter. Which is fine, all things considered.)

It's kind of funny and ironic that he doesn't have a high post count here.

Yeah, there's a reason for that.

A funny, ironic reason!

His Xbox whatever tag is Knuckles Dawson, but here on the forum he called himself Knuckles Dawson.

I'd hardly call "
one asshole failing to be funny and it spiraling out of control simply over the article's very existance" being
e-famous.

I'm still on my launch console, which some say is more impressive or outlandish than the streak.

Knuckles Dawson use to be on the list of GHZ contributers. What happened to that?

You know this means he was never away from a 360 for more than like 47 hours for almost two years. Which is... impressive, in some way.

Is that a calculated number, or did you pull out of thin air? Because that leaves about 4 minutes per day for eating, drinking, sexual (self-)gratification, and sleep. Could one survive like that?
Parenthesis used to denote redundant phrases.
PS - It just dawned on me you probably mean 47 hours at a time. Which would make more sense.

I thought he got an achievement a day for 2 years, wouldn't that mean he played his Xbox at least once a day? I could be wrong, I read the article when this thread was posted, didn't feel like reading it again.

That's correct, but Double -S- actually had the math right.
If I go snowboarding at Whistler for the weekend. I'd game first thing in the morning saturday, either just after midnight or whatever. Go to the hill, come back sunday night and game then. Total time elapsed could be like 38 hours. From 12:00:01 AM of Day A to 11:59:59 PM of Day B is 47:59:58 Hours, not that I ever cut it that close across two days.
As for it being impressive, Microsoft seems to think so, that's why I get free shit in the mail for the next year and get expense paid trips to dev HQs or game launch parties as a Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional).
From Nov. 06 to Nov 07 I've been sent to the following locations on Microsoft's dime: New York City, Seattle (Shadowrun, PAX07, Halo 3 Launch), Santa Monica (E3, this trip was paid for by AOL/Joystiq), Toronto (X'07 Canada) and Edmonton (Mass Effect).
What started as just a silly question I posed to myself back in 05 has actually gotten my foot in the door of the industry.
As for why I'm no longer a contributor/Power Ranger is beyond me. Those screenshots are still being used, right?

I meant impressive as in impressively pathetic
and if that can get you in to the game industry then the game industry is pretty pathetic.

In the end, Knuckles Dawson will most likely be the one getting the last laugh.

Unlikely. It's still cool to hate Microsoft. And snowboarding doesn't make you extreeeeeme.
You'll have to work harder'n that, Dawson.
