The old Yoshi sound for Super Mario World sucked. There, I said it.
Also I can't wait to see the bitching from the "hardcore" Smash players today's update will undoubtedly cause.

Yoshi just flat out sucks, constipated grunts, or baby voice. It does'nt matter.

The constipated grunt is with the baby voice too, though, when he hangs in the air. The old voice was all squeaks and whistles. Like a velociraptor.

I always thought the constipated grunt was hilarious. It's the only thing that kept me sane in the Yoshi's Island GBA port between Yoshi's new random sound effects and Mario's crying.
Kinda like young Link falling from a high area. Poor laughable sod.

Wow. Didn't see THAT coming.
Of course being E3 this week, it should almost be EXPECTED that the Dojo updates would be more surprising.

He's just an assist trophy though, not a playable character. They classify him as an "item" on the site.

I know that, but that doesn't make it any less unexpected (or BIZARRE).

OK, just checking! :)
Because man, if he was a playable character, THAT would be pretty bizarre!

This was the greatest tidbit of new info since Snake was revealed.

Does anyone actually remember this particular facet of SNES trivia? I mean, I know that's sort of what Smash Bros. is partly about but Dr. Wright is bordering on ridiculous.

Yes. I always played SimCity with the cheats on and built roads that didn't go anywhere. Dr. Wright would never shut up about it!

I just prefer obscuring him up to his eyebrows, look at him upsidedown and imagine it's a cleavage. But that's just me.

For people who haven't been watching the conference Brawl is out on 3rd December in the US. No word about the European release date yet though.

I remember him very well. Used to play the SNES version of
SimCity a lot when I was a kid. Also, anyone recall his cameo in
Zelda: Link's Awakening ? He was the strange Mr. Write who wrote love letters to some goat lady in Animal Village. (I don't think he knew she was a goat, however.)

Of course he didn't; he got a picture of Peach as part of the trade.
Ha, Link's Awakening was my favorite Zelda, although it took me a while to draw the connection since I never played the SNES Sim City (although the connection was probably spurred from how the music for both characters is largely identical).

I'm hoping Nintendo does what they did last year and bring us the Brawl bombshells tomorrow.
(prays for announcement of Sonic and/or MegaMan)

And now we are treated to bad CG fur.
I guess it could be worse. Remember Eggman's mustache in Shadow the Hedgehog? Ugh.
