PSU. as good as PSO?

Post by Boco »

I have just downloaded the demo of Phantasy Star Universe. I think that its fun but the room idea and making the station about 5 stories high was a little bizzare. I miss the old Phantasy Star Online. What do you think?

PSU is dull as dishwater. It's only a little more sophisticated in mechanical terms than PSO and has half the charm. I know a lot of people like it, but I got bored of it within three or four hours... it's not explicitly bad, it's just curiously soulless.

To derail: how about that Final Fantasy XII, huh? I legendarily hate the FF series, but, after Resident Evil 4, it's become the second game franchise to redeem itself in my eyes this generation. It's just divine. And Fran has the sexiest voice of any animated character of all time.

I love all of the final fantasy games. final fantasy XII was great. i know people who have put over 150 hours into that game. they put in so many extras to do along from the main story. i love it.

When I briefly saw my cousin play PSU, that's kind of the impression I got. It's the Sonic Adventure 2 to PSO's Sonic Adventure 1. It's cleaner, it's prettier, but there's a certain emotional spark that's missing.

I honestly think pso episode 3 was the best. they got rid of the slow, repetitve dungeon fighting stuff and replaced it with slow, awesome card battling stuff.

I loved that I did not have to waste my time leveling up and as long as I played with skill I would ussually beat my opponent. I wish they made that game for xbox live.

Yeah, that is pretty much exactly how I feel. I logged about 70 hours trying to get into it, but couldn't and finally gave up after not playing for 3 weeks due to being out of the country.

But is the dishwater rendered using the lastest fluid dynamic physics and DX10 particle support?
