Not only have they stopped localizing One Piece, but apparently they aren't developing any more shows.

Simply put: No more 4kids dubs.

If there has EVER been an occasion to use the word "rejoice", now is the time.

If this news came in 2002 we might've gotten an un-butchered Sonic X.

Oh well, better late than never.

But,
Not only have they stopped localizing One Piece, but apparently they aren't developing any more shows.
where exactly does it say that?

Goddamit Segasonic. Couldn't you have used that wish to get us some better sonic games??

What wish?

And suddenly you care about the VA's, and when I complained about 4crap you guys tell me to shut up.

If you wished for 4KIDS demise, then you shouldnt have denied that they did have an effect on the quality of the games.

He used a wish, not a miracle.

Im sick of silly rumors.

No, I meant that it would take a miracle to bring Sonic back, but whatever, that works too... >_>

You didn't understand radrappy's post.

You got your wish: 4Kids is gone. He was just saying you should have asked for something better.

Er. All I see there is that they aren't localizing any more One Piece shows. Nothing in the reply gives any indication that the company as a whole is rolling over and dying. Did I miss out by not reading the whole seven pages of the topic, or does everyone just fail at reading comprehension?

I wish to take this moment to tell everyone on this forum that I love One Piece and I urge and encourage everyone here to follow the series. Hopefully One Piece's license will be taken under someone else's wing and it will get the proper localization the series so deserves, because it's the greatest long running (and still running) series I've ever watched. Every major arc tries to outdo the last one and you'll fall in love with every one of the main characters (and even the secondary characters). Eichiro Oda's imagination oozes and you can tell he loves working on this series, and I can safely say that after 40 or so volumes and counting, it has yet to lose its steam; in actuality, One Piece always keeps getting better and more exciting.

Oh, what's the series about? It's about a young man going on a grand adventure in his quest to become the Pirate King. He's also eaten the Rubber Fruit, which caused his body to become rubber at the price of never being able to swim.

Please sample the show by looking at these youtube clips. I shall do my best to only include to minimize future spoilers and only include the first five crew members.

I would recommend you pose the question to Toei Animation. As of now 4Kids is not developing new shows.
I see, so 4kids said this?
not developing new shows? hmm...

Rejoice indeed. So, can that mean uncut versions of all the animes they've butchered in the future? One can hope.

Remember though, Cartoon Network does it's editing in-house so there will still be edits, on CN at least.

Anime must stay in Japan? Wow.

Also, what will become of 4kids TV exactly?

Posted: Wed Dec 06, 2006 2:46 pm

Yeah, atleast its better than crappy ass quality Anime that has been edited to make a completely different show.

It was better when Toons ruled the TV, now we have butchered Anime or toons that want to look like Anime.

Important notice to those who started watching on Youtube: don't ever, EVER read the comments, on the risk of being spoiled when you least expect it.

I don't really have a problem with what you're saying Segasonic, in fact I agree in a way, but I have to say that comment seems pretty out of character and you seem like an amazingly contradictory guy.

What exactly do you mean James McGeachie? how am I being out of character and contradictory?
