Wait a minute. Maybe I'm missing some implications, but it sounds to me like he did nothing but kiss her and hug her a couple of times. Now, a woman has the right to tell a man to knock this kind of thing off, but unless she told him explicitly not to do it in the first place, then I don't see what the big deal is. Physical contact like this is a big part of how men try to start something with a girl they like. I kicked off my relationship with my girlfriend (amusingly, a Japanese) with a big kiss, and even though we had been subtly building up to that, by the logic of this defendant I was potentially sexually harassing her. I'm all for the weaker sex being able to defend themselves, but I don't think they should be able to fry a member of the opposite sex, who is traditionally supposed to be the aggressive one in establishing a relationship, for trying out a kiss.

But then again, maybe I really am missing something.

Either way, the situation has interesting ramifications for Tecmo. If he's convicted, they're gonna have to fire him, and what does that leave them with? DoA is all they've had for the past decade except for that blackjack Rio chick, and she only has market value in Japan.

And while Nook is certainly interested in taking away my hard-earned Bells, he's never gone into outright sexual harassment. I suspect you're late on your payment by several months.

Well obviously it's going to reflect really poorly on the company if they don't, but I guess it boils down to how valuable they think he is. They can please investors or the public, but it's going to be really tricky keeping everyone happy in this situation.

Anyways, it's not impossible for him to continue working with Tecmo. In a gray area situation like that, it'd be possible for most people to continue with their lives, if at a lower pay rate.

He makes games about giddy ladies in bikinis playing volleyball and other beachside summertime sports, and games where hot chicks beat the bloody hell out of each other. With a sexual harassment suit of all things breathing down his neck, I would think at least one exec in Tecmo would be inclined to give him the stink eye.
