REZ, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus

Post by Opa-Opa »

OMFG THIS GAME IS TEH BEST ROTFLOL!!!!!111one!

Ok. Seriously now.

Last week I had appendicitis and had to stay put another whole week after the surgery, so I decided to take the dust off my trusty Dreamcast and play a couple of games that were laying around for some time. I had never played Rez before, but heard about it after that gamegirladvance chick did that thing with the PS2 trance vibrator, err... you probably know what I'm talking about.

The game is just simply brilliant. And short. It's like that excellent movie that you really don't want to end but it ends in the right time, so it leaves you wanting more. Like Seinfeld. Rez = Seinfeld.

Lately I've been playing a lot of great games like ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, so some more strightforward games like God of War and Dirge of Cerebus aren't really getting to me, which sucks, but Rez really got me into some of the best gaming experiences I ever had. The music, sound and image blending is perfect. I even borrowed a Jump Pack to feel the beat, and it does add a lot more to the game.

Oh yeah, I found out that you can hold to a fish in Shadow of the Colossus and swim with it. This game will never get old. I just wish there were more games like these.

The more interesting fact than your discovery of various truths is that you had Rez lying around and never played it.

Y' know what's more interesting? The fact that I lost my Rez CD. I still have the case, but GODDAMMIT WHERE THE HELL DID THE CD GO?!?!

Oh man, I've been on that shit for years. There's nothing finer than a good splash of Rez every now and again.

Well, apart from, of course, a good splash of Rez...on weeeeeeeed.

I can't, however, attest to how the vibrator (well it is) affects the whole, y'know, experience. Besides which, I'd feel pretty uncomfortable shoving it up my arse, both morally and physically.

Rez on weed sounds fairly disturbing, yet totally fascinating at the same time.

That also applies to me and Jet Grind Radio. Yeah, it's there and all, and yet..

I've just been collecting Nippon Ichi games.

Where have you been all of my life, Nippon Ichi?

Heheh, thought about that. Never had weed, but would do for a game of weedy Rez. Heck, maybe even some Space Channel 5 part 2 after.
