Hi there,

I've currently got an auction up on ebay for the first 65 issues of the british (fleetway) sonic the comic, the sonic summer special, an annual and a sticker album as well as lots of the free gifts which came with the comics over the years. I thought there might be people interested on this site. For more details see the auction (or i guess reply to this and i'll happily answer any questions!). Auction Link

Thankyou for reading this

Ooh, solicitation. Fancy.

I'm pretty sure this is a forum no-no, but it's your first day, so maybe you could, you know, go back and review that lovely FAQ and make sure that I'm not hassling you for no reason.

This one's okay, being a fairly unique item. Individual issues of the comic wouldn't be, but the complete set is something of interest, I think, and doesn't spring along every day.

...Wow, a whole post from Gibbs about the Sonic comics and almost 77% of it ISN'T derogatory.

It's gotta be some type of record.

I thought GG! was mostly against Archie, anyway.

It sounds like some people are desperate for GG! to say something bad about the Sonic comics.

More than he already said? It's unlikely.
Now, to see Spazz getting this collection...

That was a great comic in its prime. I stopped collecting somewhere around #140, by that time the backup stories had become unbearably awful and there wasn't even the guarantee of a Kitching/Elson lead story for each issue. Now that I have a bit more disposable income I would like to complete my collection eventually (excluding the all-reprint issues).

I don't mean it's an interesting item as something of literary value, just as a collectible curiosity for those of us who like Sonic toast. If I could afford it, I would own every issue of the Archie comic and never read any of them.

So if you had a sizable amount of cash, would you even buy a box set of those Sonic Underground DVDs?

Sure I would. Of course, there's not much of anything I can say I wouldn't buy if I had the money. If somebody on the street offered me a life size rubber giraffe that would squirt green jello snot from its nose when you squeeze it and I had the cash and a place to put it, I'd be all over that.

i'd like to add to my auction above that if you can provide me with a life size rubber giraffe that would squirt green jello snot from its nose when you squeeze it i'd consider making the postage free... then again... if you could actually get a life size rubber giraffe that would squirt green jello snot from its nose when you squeeze it i wouldn't be spending time selling comics right now... i'd be spending it squeezing a giraffe...

A life size rubber giraffe that would squirt green jello snot from its nose when you squeeze it.
Repeat that three times straight. No cheating!

Is it life-size?

The part he's squeezing is.

So the green jelly would predictably come out of his nose?

Oh dear, a joke nobody will get.

I know it sounds the same, but Green Jellÿ and Green Jello are not the same thing. Seriously.

I miss those comics, they had some great storylines. I remember Supersonic and Knuckles vs Mecha Sonic pretty clearly.
The whole story arc concerning S3&K was pretty kickass, then they got shit artists in and the stories got so stupid.
