Another military-type dude gives you a lecture about the gaming business. "Games are nothing more than mere products! You examine popular market trends, churn out nearly-identical titles, and then you rake in the dough! Imitate our competitor's top sellers, that's the golden rule! Throw away your emotions and become a mindless machine, that's how you make games!"

"Please! Let me make games here!" You plead. "I want to make totally innovative games that nobody has ever seen before!"

"Bah! Innovation? How foolish! Who will take responsibility if the game flops?"

"But if we do it your way, we'll never attract new customers. It's worth giving a shot. Please!"

"You know nothing about the business, boy! I'll teach you the harsh reality of the corporate world!"

And then you fight. Later in the game, this guy will join you as a Director. As noted by his personality, he'll churn out mediocre games at a fast pace - whether you want Sega to be that kind of company is up to you. Certainly you don't want to run a sweatshop like Electronic Arts, right?

I've wanted to play that for years. I guess it's too much to hope that any of you radioactive shitweeds are familiar with it?

Actually, I've been familar with the game it for years now. Heck, I have at least seen videos that feature the lead character interacting with Sonic and a prelude to a I assume an armada battle with Sega's competitors(complete with twisted spaceship versions of Kirby, Pikachu, and the monkeys from Ape Escape).

It is too bad this game wasn't released in the states. Though it eerily true to game's hidden meaning, it probably would have flopped whether the DC was active or nearly dead.

I followed it rather intently for a while and then sort of gave up on it when I realized just how impossible the idea of it coming to the states was. Still, Segagaga is a rather excellent title.

I remember reading a lot about that game. It sounded pretty interesting. But there was no way I was going to be able to play it without a translation.

At least we now know what happened to Alex Kidd.

Speaking of which, I'll never understand why people liked him so much. He seems rather generic to me. I still don't understand what his abilities are or what the fuck he is.

Alex Kidd was the legend and deserves more cameos in other games. He should be the 17th character in Sonic Riders.

And have his own story mode, detailing his honourable transfer of mascotdom to Sonic.

That was called Rakugaki Oukouku, aka Magic Pengel. And yeah, the game is as weak as the premise, though strolling through the small town is fun once.

The problem with the Alex Kidd games is that they all suck except the very first one. I guess he really was ahead of his time.

Actually played through some of that. The story and character interactions (as far as i played) are awesome, there's a lot of depth to how you can draw things, although there isn't much variety of the skills you can give out. But they fixed the gameplay, so it's fun. Get it.
