So, I finished reading Battle Royale (The novel). Brilliant. I noticed that anything that could be remotely considered a machine gun changed hands like women at a brothel. And Mitsuko was a crazy bitch. The sickle probably had some allegorical references that I was too busy to pick up.
And most importantly, during the infamous Lighthouse scene, it is absolutely vital to listen to this song:

And a movie which is completely over the top. But I wouldn't be reading that, I suppose.
And as for the infamous story of story-like proportions, I've since lost touch with the friend that stole it from the library. It's not exactly something that you go looking for, but I suppose I could have tried harder to track it down instead of trying to burn it from my memory.

Indeed. I haven't seen it in its entirety yet, but after I'd read the book, I caught the last 45 minutes or so on Showtime. That Lighthouse scene will forever be engraved in my memory.

Ah, I remember watching that movie, it was...different to say the least. And as for the lighthouse scene, well I have to say it is indeed memorable.
I've seen both movies actually, by request of a friend of mine who happens to own them both. I've definately seen better, but I suppose they did have their entertainment battle.
....And yes Mitsuko was a crazy bitch, though she was not nearly as crazy as Kiriyama was, even if he wasn't exactly much of a talker....

Would this vampire friend of yours be willing to lend them to me?
