I had this sweet gig going. I got paid just to sit on my lazy ass and do nothing but download porn and play video games. My legs would not be working right now if I did not have to get up to go to the bathroom. But then one day, my employers hire these future people to do my job for me. Now, I have to actually stand up and work. Well, I say They Took My Job! Tell me more stories on how the future people been takin' our jobs.

I saw that episode of South Park as well.

Great spoof of the whole illegal immigration problem we have here in California.

Actually seen this episode, fairly funny. South Park's a bit odd in that the quality of the episodes seems to go up and down every season or so. Haven't seen much of the current season, though. Has the stuff been good?

I found the first half of the 8th season to be quite good. There were at least two great episodes this season, "Good Times With Weapons" (an anime spoof) & "AWESOM-O" (Cartman tries to trick Butters by pretending to be a robot). Of course, both episodes were very focused on Butters, who, if you couldn't tell by my avatar, is my favorite character. So I'm probably a little biased.

That being said, I am a huge fan of South Park. It's evolved into brilliant social commentary over the years. But I still do enjoy enjoy the early episodes, which had a much more "Pythonesque" sense of humor.

The 4th Season DVD's coming out later this month as well, & I really can't wait for that. The introduction of Timmy, NAMBLA, & Fingerbang are all classics.

There is no illegal immigration problem here. It's just dumb white people complaining that they can't get any jobs. The illegals are just taking jobs that you crackers didn't want anyway (this is going to sound extremely racist of me, which it is:), I mean, none of you crackers want to do lawn work or cook my Chinese food, nobody here wanted those jobs, so you might as well let them take it.

So just let the Mexicans be. They deserve to be here as much as anyone else. Except for white people. Cause I hate goddamn white people :D

Anyway, my favorite episode of South Park is the Ninja episode. It ninja rocks all over the ninja place.

I'm not sure what part of California you live in, but in the part where I live, yes, illegal immigration is a problem.

Please note that Mexican and illegal immigrant are not interchangable. I really don't care who's here in this country, so long as they're here legally.

The problems that illegal immigration causes are many. Schools are overcrowded. If you get in a car accident with any illegal, you end up paying for the damages, because they don't have insurance. US taxes end up paying for hospital bills.

I wish there was more of a push to stop illegal immigration. The government doesn't seem to care. No other civilized country in the world allows illegal immigration, so I don't see why the U.S. has to put up with it.

Those problems could be mitigated by making legal immigration easier for people who come here to work.

Because we have to PITY THEM because their countries aren't as GRAND and GLORIOUS <strike>and warmongering</strike> as ours, so of COURSE we should let them live here and suck money from honest overworked Americans, who are better off because they're white and so don't NEED that money.

And for the record, I have done yard work before. I don't know where the whole "Illegal Immigrants only do work that lazy Americans don't want so we should let them stay!" argument comes from. I need money. I'm willing to work at a fast food place if I have to in order to make some.

The UK has problems with immigration too, although because our justice system seems slightly less insane we don't have to pay if we end up in any accidents with them. And if it weren't for the wonders of illegal immigration, my friend would still be in iraq dodging bombs, and without her parents the NHS would be down two doctors.

Illegal immigration may take up masses of moneys, but so does my government's incredible willingness to ensure that foreigners coming here get a nice house and job and cheap petrol etc. Oh well. I should be flattered that many think our country is so great that they will leave their lands and come here (rather than the much more spacious places like france and germany who lie in between eastern europe and us). Come to think of it, America has bags of room and food to spare...

Anyhow, none of us are politicians or immigration experts (at least, I don't think they are.) so we can't really argue about it properly and come to a useful conclusion. Now let's talk about whatever this topic was in the first place.

Hee, it's funny because you think politicians have proper arguments and come to useful conclusions!

(Okay, I'm speaking from a US perspective, but I was under the impression that UK politicals were just as bad as US politicals, but with different accents?)

Sorry, I was a bit vague... I meant that we only have one side of the story. I don't know that the government spends more on making newcomers at home than it loses due to illegal immigration, I am just assuming that. We are all taking our experiences and then guessing at what else could happen behind the scenes, and that's never useful. As Holmes once said, "Data data data! I cannot make bricks without clay!"... Or something. I meant to say that Politicians might lie about it to us, but they still have access to a lot more info than we do.

Incidentaly, I do think that politicians are twats for the most part, because anyone who can sound rosy enough to make their way to the top has to be a twat. Honest people are less positive and more realistic. Good politicians tell people what they want to hear, get elected, and then go back to the important buisiness of making money.

The thing is, although I don't like tony blair, he's easy to understand and I think deep down he's trying his best not to get too many people angry... However, we face the horrifying prospect of micheal howard being prime minister in a bit, and he was the sleaziest, greasiest, lyingest scumbag in the whole of the bent and oily underbelly of the Major government. He is lying to get into power (Hey everybody! We can cut taxes AND increase public spending without causing the economy to explode!!!), and once he's there he will lie, and lie, and lie... He is a man who should be deeply distrusted.

George bush is dangerous because he is a mask for all the hordes of lobbyists and men in grey coats who really run things. They were there for reagan, they are here for bush, and the way things are going they will be there for ever.

So, in conclusion (god that sounds boring), all politicians are smeg heads. They are just different KINDS of smeg heads.

There is actually very little that has to be done to stop illegals forever. One idea is to build a wall around the Rio Grande and post armed mercenaries all over the place. Illegals try to come in, BAM, they die. Another idea is to fill the Rio with. . . ELECTRICITY! Illegals step into the river, they get an ass-full of volts. So, GIT-R-DONE! Then all we have to worry about is the smelly Canadians.

You seem to think that every illegal alien comes from Mexico. Ever heard of the rest of the world? Lots of Cubans and other hispanics go through Florida. While we do have illegal immigration in other parts of the country, it is most prominent in Southern California where the majority of the illegals are, you guessed it, Mexican.

The reason that officials won't do anything to stop it isn't because it's "good for us," it's because they're afraid of offending people of similar persuasion. Usually when politicians talk about stopping illegal immigrations, they are labelled as racists. That'll hurt anyone's public image.

Seeing as how California's already bathed in utter chaos (sometimes I feel that we're not even a part of the same fucking country) I seriously doubt that if all the illegal's stopped working terrible things would happen. But I guess that's just me.

Are you SERIOUS? You must be in some lovely alternate reality where the system actually works! Man, I wish MY version of reality had the jerkoffs in charge doing things for the country as a whole instead of themselves and their friends. That must be cool. Tell me; have you also pulled the government out of victimless crimes? Obliterated Affirmative Action? Do the schools get the funding they need to teach their students the fundamental basics? Is the air free of smog? Has there FINALLY been a complete seperation of church and state? Do women finally ACTUALLY make the same pay as men?
