Bah, that spike pit was nothing compared to the Carnival Night drums. Or the entirety of the Scrambled Egg Zone from Sonic 2 8-bit. That thing is a load of bullshit.

Yes, Carnival Night Zone drums sucked. I know people have said it often, but I wanted to say so too.

The only way I actually could get past that part was because we had one of those controllers that had the "auto-press" option or whatever, so holding down the button made it react as if it were being hit rapidly. Anyway, I had to use the water shield and could actually bounce through it. Sounds weird, but it worked.

I was so happy to be able to get Tails past that part...years later(probably about 2).

I remember being stuck on the Labyrinth Zone boss for, like, 2 or 3 years. I beat Sonic 2 before I beat Sonic 1, and then I only pulled it off because I used the level select. The first time I think I did it legitimately was in Sonic Jam...

Yes, yes, but the Carnival Night drums already get a lot of attention.

Few talk about the sadistic spike pit in Mystic Caves. It goes completely against a Sonic's game flow; you have to purposely slow down to avoid it.

And almost all of Sonic 2 8-bit was bullshit, I think.

Oh yeah, that whole game was balls, but Scrambled Egg act 2 is the worst stretch of Sonic anything ever, except maybe for certain aspects of Sonic Shuffle.

What about that water level in G Sonic? There's one section where it takes fucking ages to get out of a water/tube section purely because of the crap physics.

Fun fact I remember out of nowhere: Whenever you hit an object, Sonic could only earn back 20 rings, no matter how many he was carrying before, in SA1 and 2.

A slow mode for Sonic would made the game too easy, maybe it could be used if you “Replayâ€￾ a level after you passed it. Just for fun…

I can't tell if that's sarcasm, Esrever, so I'm going to assume it is.

Incidentally, and for no reason, doesn't knuckles look like a vampire in Sonic 2?

I like to watch j-man make n00b comments so I can make him cry with furry pictures later.
It's similar to juggling hamsters.

I don't think j-man is the only one crying because of the furry pictures.

Now there's really no question as to whether or not you're a furry, mate.
