Re: [56K] Jazwares is actually kind of awesome
I always figured the hinges ("bulbs") were like that because that was the thinnest the sculptors could physically make them in proportion to the thin arms/legs. Looking at my older, larger Sonic/Shadow figures, they have a small bit of knobbliness to them as well at the hinges...

I prefer the way Resaurus handled the arms and legs, despite being less articulated. It works decently for Metal Sonic though, and the bulker characters like Eggman and Vector look great. I'd be much more interested in badnik figurines than any more of the playable cast though.

Wow, a Vector figurine. I never thought that would happen. Oh and Espio too I guess.
Badniks would be great, but I think we'll be lucky to see much of the rouge gallery at all. Maybe Chaos 0?

I think it's be awesome if they made a Perfect Chaos figure of a similiar size to the giant Metal Sonic one. Then they could bundle in a 3.5" Super Sonic figure and call it a "Sonic Adventure two-pack" or something.

My monitor-top plastic figure scene of two astronauts and a lunar lander can only be improved by the addition of an eggrobo.

Here is an over-priced, useless toy of something you like but that you are never allowed to have.

Quite a few Character + Badnik sets planned, and a Classic Sonic/Classic Amy double pack.

Hard to get excited about these when they all seem to be paper cutouts of old clip art stuck in the boxes. Good thing they have the packaging sorted out, at least!

Re: [56K] Jazwares is actually kind of awesome
Reading this thread reminded me that I have these from some time ago (Apologies for the camera phone shots):

They were originally part of a set containing Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Lennie Small here and a giant chao too. (Very) brief research claims that the Big figurine is relatively rare, as is the chao which I've helpfully lost along with the rest of them.
Although unrelated, I was also reminded of the existence of this:

It's an original Sonic doll from 1992, with patchy fur from the many times I was sick on it as a child. Happy memories.

A very long time ago. It's hardly visible from the photograph, but it really is in poor condition. I have a much newer post-SA design Tails somewhere.G.Silver wrote:Hah! How old were you when you got that?
The same as the above, I thought K'nex quietly died years ago. Those prototypes don't look a whole like K'nex as I remember it though.Crazy Penguin wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBC3OPizCLc

It's . . . not terrible. The buff arms and torso kinda freak me out. I'll still take the first4figurines versions over this any day.

I picked up the special "flocked" Sonic figure when I was at Comic-Con. Flocking, it turns out, just means he has that sort of slightly velvety fuzz surface like you'd find on, like, plastic toy horses in the 80s. It works, though.

No sign of the Eggman & EggRobos or Classic Sonic & Classic Amy packs yet. Jazwares have also said to expect Classic Metal Sonic and Classic Super Sonic.
And yeah. 2000 Shadow. Lblis. I wonder if they'll correct those later.
