...when the most memorable thing about a game is the godawful voice acting, you know you are in trouble.

I don't actually remember what Charmy sounds like in the Sonic X dub, but I guess that's a good thing. Looks like I won't buy the Gamecube version because of the voice acting alone.

All I know is (and I'm probably alone in this) is that Charmy in the 4kids dub (as awkward as it has gotten) is the better English voice for me, simply because he sounds like 6 year old kid. Charmy's old English voice sounded like...well, a high pitched woman.

There's this girl at my school who sounds exactly like the Charmy from the game's dub, high-pitched voice and all. She also doesn't know when to shut up, which only makes it that much more annoying.
