Seriously, though, why announce new characters for a franchise before the existing characters for that franchise have been confirmed...? Unless they're getting rid of Marth, Roy and Ness...

Hmm. Too bad they couldn't get Mei Ling's voice right... but I guess that's asking too much.

That was the best Yoshi dialogue ever. It could've been in a Tarantino movie.

I'm still waiting for Snake's Subspace Emissary movie though.

I might be remembering this wrong, but I think that was how Mei Ling sounded in the Twin Snakes game.

I've gotta say, I am really impressed with how they are handling Snake's inclusion in this game. Everything they've shown is astoundingly true to the source material and way more robust than I was expecting. They really seem to be going the extra mile to fulfill every ounce of potential that the concept of a Metal Gear/Smash Bros mashup presents... even if that means letting Snake talk about eating Yoshi and boning Samus.

Anyone else suspect a Raiden joke/cameo to be imminent? I just can't shake the feeling that it's too good of an opportunity to pass up- especially considering the fidelity they've shown thus far.
