That drawing for Plasticwingsband is pretty durn sweeeeeeeeet.

The one from Omnihunter: I love the simple colring and I love Knuckles' pose. I'm a little iffy on the face (feels a bit squeezed), but otherwise, I like it.

That's not a drawing, that's a screencap from the movie. The film is, for lack of a better phrase, cel-shaded.

Thanks for the comments guys, thuys, it took me a while to get that gliding pose right.
It just occured to me that this thread is worth archiving but will never be so because of continuous work from the forumers. If it could at least be a sticky thread.

The correct term would be "rotoscoping," in which animators use a device called a rotoscope to trace over live-action, frame by frame, for animation.

Also see A Waking Life (directed by Richard Linklater, the same guy who's directing A Scanner Darkly).

And I dig the artwork, j-man & Omni.

So...it's drawing and not drawing? Nah, I kid. I get what you mean. Interesting.

Jesus, man. You're astounding! Really reminds me of the art style of Samurai Jack, so +5 Love to you because it's my favourite show.

I'm getting more of a The Maxx vibe myself, but that's probably just the nature of the creatures. Good luck with that "children's book" :D

Wow. That's seriously quite awesome. Better than anything Neil or Pop has done, anyways.

Nice work. Is this part of a bigger project you're working on? I'd love to learn more about it, as it is pretty baffling just looking at it.

I'm trying to write somewhat of a childrens book... That's not really for children. Something along the lines of The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy. There's a link to my deviantART account for my information and pictures below the artwork if you're interested.

I've been working on a giraffe for the better part of today, and here is the fruit of my labour.

Thanks! To be honest, your artwork served as a bit of inspiration for this piece. I'll be doing a lot more illustrator stuff in future now. :)
