I just think it's bad mojo to make a Gorillaz album without Dan. I mean, calling this a Gorillaz album is kind of like calling Wings the Beatles. Musically speaking, there's no one left from the first CD except the singer.

So wait, Del and Miho Hatori jumped ship as well?

I have yet to hear the album. (I ain't the downloading kind.) But, I still have faith in "Demon Days". It's in my "to buy list", same thing goes for "With Teeth". I don't care what the retarded Alt./indie bedroom critic elitists have say about the direction of Nine Inch Nails.

I haven't heard anything about Miho being on there. There are a couple of tracks (I've got it now) where there are singers that COULD be her, but it's hard to know.

Del is defintely not on there. But then, he was only on two tracks on the original album. I think the plan was always to have a revolving stable of rappers... Del was just available because of his connection to Dan the Automator. There are a bunch of other rappers on here, though, and most of them are pretty good, if not as distinctive as Del was. On the whole it's not a particularly rap-heavy affair.

I'm not sure what to think yet. I really like a few tracks, but a lot of them seem to flow by with no impact... you know, in that sort of non-descript, bland electronica background music kind of way. Musically, it just feels a lot less varied then before. I think a lot of the problems stem from the percussion. Danger Mouse's relentless thumpy beats certainly dominate more than they could have.

It might just take me a few listens to appreciate.

Feel Good Inc is pretty swish, I like the video.

I'll get the Demon Days album before continuing to build up the Gary Numan back-catalogue

I'll probably end up buying it just to hear the rest of Kids With Guns. :|

Man, I came across a new album by shitstains called Mylo. The album is blasphemously called "Destroy Rock n' Roll".

Just picked up "Push The Button" by the Chemical Brothers and so far it's sounding pretty slick.
