I can't help but notice that some of you people have recieved hundreds of dollars worth of video games for Christmas. That's crazy, crazy I tell you!

Most the games I wanted aren’t released until next year, so I mainly received cash.

My main physical present was Sega Superstars . Unlike other Eye toy games, which feature static screens that resemble Game-and-Watch style titles, the NiGHTS and Monkey Ball Superstars games contain sizeable worlds to traverse and explore. They almost bring back memories of the pre-Sonic Adventure era of gaming, when a Sonic Team game could be counted on to deliver a play experience that was previously thought to be technically impossible. The NiGHTS title offers a genuine sense of freedom and it is a shame that navigating the stage with your arms becomes uncomfortable very quickly, as this would make for an excellent full-sized game. The other games aren’t as innovative, and a few contain some glaringly obvious design mistakes, but it’s refreshing to play a Sonic Team title that isn’t completely mediocre.

^_^

I deliberately didn't ask for any video games this year since I can get them so cheaply at work, but now I sort of wish I'd asked for just one or two, since I haven't got my electric guitar yet and I'm just kind of sitting here with some new t-shirts and chocolate bars.

It could be worse. You could have one of those Esteban guitars that sound and look like the 3 Stooges slid it down a steep gravel driveway.

I got nothing worth mentioning.

For example: A new copy of a book I already had and read that my dad had taken from me - given by my dad.

Exactly.

Poor, poor, J-man. If you're that sad about it, maybe next year I'll dress up as father Christmas, get a big package, and sneak into your chimney? Or you can come down mine. :D

(I won't get into the discussion of who flirts and who doesn't... way too disturbing)

*A "Green Lantern: Rebirth" issue
*Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (GC version. Good game, but full'o glitches)
*Some stylish hat (you know, like the ones ice surfers use)
*A necklace with a gothic skeleton on it. (I'm never going to wear that crap)
*A Magentix X-Treme: Triangles set. (And I dunno why, really)

So, it was a pretty normal christamas, I guess.

OK, so I've decided the Paper Mario 2 is the best game for Gamecube ever. Still sore from my boss-looking, but broken, CD audio system (the disappointment) but fuck it, I'll return it tomorrow. So yeah, Paper Mario 2. It's great. If you don't have it you suck.

And I never said I was uncomfortable. ;)
