Just for a matter of curiosity...
You obviously know that I have an obsession for destroying brazillian stereotypes (specially the "they are spanish speakers" one). Does this qualify as "annoying" or this is a simple, acceptable personality perk?

My dad, though born in Taiwan, lived in Brazil for 8-10 years of his life through his teens. Meaning he can speak fluent Portugese as well as Mandarin Chinese and English. So yeah, I don't really need to hear that Brazilians don't speak Spanish in every other thread.

I personally do not care about you breaking Brazillian stereotypes. I once pissed off a Brazillian cause I asked him if he spoke Spanish. I knew Brazil was a Pourtugese colony, I just kind of forgot when I asked him. Also I kinda just wanted to know if he spoke Spanish, and he did.

As far as I know, there generally AREN'T any Brazilian stereotypes. If you ask a random person on the street about Brazil, you'd problably get one of these four answers, in order from "most likely" to "least likely":

1) "I love those nuts."

2) "I have underwear already, thanks."

3) "That's somewhere south of Mexico, right?"

4) "Oh . . . isn't Blanka from Street Fighter from there?"

There aren't Brazilian stereotypes, just Brazilian misconceptions. Actually, there's only one, and it's that Brazilians speak Spanish.

Read that as Yakety Sex. Don't get my hopes up like that.
And Portugese sucks. It hasn't been cool for about 500 years, when Portugal, the proverbial zit on Spain's face, controlled the seas.

It's not a stereotype, it's true.

And to answer Zeta's question, no. My dad's Chinese and my mom's Korean.

What you're talking about? If it's about portuguese people, it's general tought (and joke topic) that they are stupid. Just like english people jokes in the U.S.A.
