I caught FMA. It was... conventional.

Stand Alone Complex came on right after. It was alright, I never liked either of the GitS films, but the series works well enough for me.

It has a giant metal suit with a cuddly little kid's voice. How is that conventional?

Lots of anime has characters that are weird for the sake of weird, it's nothing new or different. This time they came up with a boy made of armor, well whoopidy shit. The entire episode still reeked of "been there, done that."

It wouldn't be so bad if it looked as if the show would at least be mildly interesting, and maybe it will be, but the first episode wasn't too exciting.

99% of anime has mediocre to bad episodes--even the good series.

And yeah, I caught it and I have to get used to Ed's voice. All the other voices sound decent with Al's and Lust's being the best so far.

This along with SAC--which I found to be...alright, repeats on Thursdays.

Ed's voice does indeed suck and not fit the character. And I haven't even seen the original - i'm just going by it on general principle - it didn't look like that voice should becoming out of that blonde man.

Al's voice was hilarious, and all the other characters were OK enough.

The "magic as science" thing has been done before. I'm wating to see if FMA can do it better.

Anyone watching Super Milk-Chan? I'm actually liking this so far. Though, I don't see myself keeping up with it.

I have a poster.
Didn't they make two separate DVDs for that to retain the original Japanese jokes and make a separate one with jokes that Americans would get?

Yes they did. It's also a fucking horrible release in general. I think ADV was just given the license for free and felt compelled to release it in any state at all after sitting on it for over a year. They didn't know what to do with it and so made that bollocks American version.
