I didn't like it that they picked a woman's voice for NiGHTS (thus removing much of his androgenous-ness), but it grew on me in the past week.

Honestly, though, I though the voice actor did a reasonable job of sounding androgynous, though the boy in particular would have had to be very young. Then again, the characters in JoD are like 4, so… ;P

While the quality of the acting was your usual cringe setter, I thought the young-boy voice went well with the whole Peter Pan motif that I always thought was an undercurrent.

Not heard Journey of Dreams yet, but NiGHTS did have a feminine voice when attacked and what-not in the original game.

I thought it was pretty androgynous. For me it was closer to an old sprite-based-character male, like you'd hear from Sparkster when he was surprised in Rocket Knight Adventures. (SQUAAA!)
