True story: close inspection of Donald's original voice and his current voice reveals differences that, despite your best efforts, can never again be ignored.Brazillian Cara wrote:Well, it's not like nobody else can make the exact same voice (or at least, one that resembles it closely). I mean, it works for Donald Duck.
At least that's how it happened to me.

I played Mario a bit tonight. So far the only use of the Wiimote I've found is the cursor for the bits and the shake for the spin attack, but I assume it'll come into play later and don't really care if it doesn't. I've only gotten 4 stars, but it is already shaping up to be a great game. I watched my roommate play a bit too and every level is just a crazy colorful cool idea after another. I probably won't be touching it for the next couple days though because of Assassin's Creed.

Let us know what you make of that. It's another one of those games that, to me, looks potentially very good in that nagging too-good-to-be-true way that's been ringing more and more true for me recently. I got burnt on Psychonauts, Okami, and Bioshock, and more than one online publication has declared it 'disappointing' (not that I put much credence in those guys anyway); but I really, really want it to be good.Light Speed wrote:I probably won't be touching it for the next couple days though because of Assassin's Creed.

Hey, I never said anything like he was fired, his wife left him and eventually choked to death trying to forget about his disgrace with a mouthful of fettuccine alfredo. Oh, sorry.Zeta wrote:Damn you, Isuka, for scaring me.
Only that he sounds quite different than he did in 64, his new "YAHOO!" isn't the same, as well as "YIPPIE!" and probably "MAMMA MIA!" too. Peoples' voice change over time, I think. :(

Every review I've read so far has had the same complaints, repetitive missions, somewhat annoying combat, but they all seem to weight that differently. Even with them each saying essentially the same thing the numbers range anywhere from 7 to a perfect 10, so who knows. I really want it to be good as well, I was a huge Prince of Persia fan and this game seems fairly reminiscent of them.Popcorn wrote:Let us know what you make of that. Currently I've only played thirty minutes into it since I had relatively little time last night (only have two measly stars). So far, so good though: beautiful graphics, solid controls, and great camera. Frankly, I have good hope the reward for collecting all 120 stars is enough to keep this game in my console for a long period of time (since I need to cut my habit of buying so much games and start saving cash for more important stuff).
