On the subject of Kingdom Hearts 2..it seemed to me Square added in as much cool, new stuff as they did took out stuff that actually worked in the first game. A truly mixed bag of ideas and concepts I have not seen in a Square game before. It was good, more balanced than the original, but don't be surprised if I may not play the next game in the franchise.
And nearly everyone wears zippers, some on their butts and fronts "for easy access", as some people have joked about on other forums I visit.

Concerning Goofy, though:Did they really think they could fool anyone by 'killing' him?
Ya know, it's kinda funny that scene somehow did affect me. I mean, I knew Goofy wasn't gonna die or was dead in the least bit, I guess it's mainly because of Donald and Mickey's reaction that made me feel for that scene. Maybe I'm just a sap like that.
Yeha, Nomura's got a zipper fetish. At least none of them were wearing a dress made out of belts.
Are you referring to Lulu?
Quite frankly, I already admit I happen to be a fan of his outfit designs, I just wish his character designs were more creative. How many long haired silver villains do I really need shoved at my face?

Not that this comes even close to convincing me that there will be a NiGHTS game on the Revolution (when's the last time Naka directed anything? ChuChu Rocket?), but it's nice to see the idea getting some degree of speculation before E3.

Does Riku count?Delphine wrote:I was kind of hoping they meant it, and King Mickey would replace him because TWO KEYBLADE WEILDERS IN MY PARTY WOULD BE AWESOME, but of course that didn't happen.
And I like the concept of the belt dress. I like dresses, but sometimes I want them to be loose and slutty, and other times I want them to be tight and slutty! Normally, this would require two dresses, but now I've got a solution!
The only think better would be a hat with a zipper.

Sega have set up a Road to E3 website but there's nothing there at the moment. They're supposed to be making announcements about their E3 line-up starting tomorrow.

I was looking at the e3 site and it made me quite confused, more confused than I ussaully am. Can anybody go or do you have to be involved with some sort of video game thing, because it says on the web site that it's not open to the general public. which sucks because I live like 6 hours away from LA.

I meant more permanent, like. If I'd been able to bring Riku with me elsewhere, that would have been awesome. And, you know, having more than three party members at a time would have been awesome, too. I mean, you don't control any of them anyway, what would it matter?Baba O'Reily wrote:Does Riku count?

New Monkeyball game announced for the Revolution. Will controlling a tilt-driven game with a tilt-sensitive controller be more or less fun than with a joystick? Time will tell!
According to the press release there are screenshots on the Sega FTP, but I guess they're not uploaded yet.

Star Ocean 3 doesn't count because it had probably the worst battle system of any RPG I've ever played, and that includes Thousand Arms (though at least you didn't haave to rotate the camera justto see your opoonenets like you did in Star Ocean 3). Battles were either freakishly easy or brutally unfair and cheap, and with few save points, restarting whole dungeons if you died was a BITCH.Baba O'Reily wrote:Star Ocean pulled it off, but that doesn't count, because the game itself is a fairly campy/kitsch (depending on how critical you are of voice acting) affair.

This is a game that I want to say something about right at the beginning, since I know it's going to happen. Anyone who ends up calling the control scheme a "gimmick" with this is retarded, because it sounds perfectly natural to control Monkey Ball with proper tilting. How they'll incorperate flicking to jump I'm not sure about, but this sounds like it could definitely work to me.Esrever wrote:http://www.sega.com/e3/2006/announcemen ... _20060426a

And in the bizarre news of the day Meteos: Disney Edition is on the way.
All I can think is why? Did the original sell so badly that they need to add a licence to the game or something?

If I said Final Fantasy, you wouldn't automatically assume I was talking about the latest one. To be fair, I should have been specific, but I won't allow that fact to sink in. I'm brimming with righteous fury.

I'm still not buying this, even if this site says it's "confirmed". At the moment I don't see the point of the analogue expansion also having some motion sensing shit, especially considering the conroller must eat through battery like hell as it is already.PBJClock wrote:http://revolution.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=6601

Oh. I didn't realize, since I though Star Ocean 3 also had bad voice acting (though I eard Second Story had REALLY awful English voice acting).Baba O'Reily wrote:I was talking about The Second Story.
You can only attack one enemy at a time (this also applies to the enemies), only the person in the front lines can use physical attacks (the other twoserve as backup), there's a bar that determines when you can and cannot attack or use magic, magic attacks are nigh useless against enemies, leaving battles takes LONGER than fighting in them, and the frequency rate of enemy encounters is almost once every 10 seconds. Also, your attack power will not go up after you level up until you can go to a place to upgrade your weapons manually, and you must do this each time you grow a level.kishi wrote:Wait, what was wrong with the battle system in Thousand Arms?
I like Thousand Arms and am glad to own such a somewhat rare game, but the battle systme portion of the game just pisses me off. I like everything else about the game, though.
