I also bought Riviera - The Promised Land and Suikoden IV for somewhere around $52. The latter was only 20 bucks, so I am satisfied with my purchase.

I bought Psychonauts for 30 bucks and got free shipping! Then I played it for 9 hours straight on Friday. It's fun, not too extraordinary though, at least not yet. Oh and the conspiracy theory milkman dudes mind gave me a headache even though its my favorite mind so far.

I'd rather have my <i>tainted</i> copies of EinhÃƒÂ¤nder, Ape Escape, Metal Gear Solid, etc. than none at all. I suppose I could shell out ridiculous money for factory-sealed copies, but I consider myself to be rather sane.

Yeah, there are exceptions, I bought a used copy of Burning Rangers for instance. However, when the games are readily available new, I'd rather spend the extra cash. Especially since 90% of the time buying it used would save me less than 5 bucks.

I think I only own, like, 1 unused PS2 game. I'm a cheapskate like that. Also, there are some games I'm <i>not</i> willing to pay absurd prices for, so I'd rather buy used; for example, I find shelling out $300 for an unopened copy of Suikoden 2 absurd.

Rez and Gitaroo Man got reprinted (stateside) recently, so you can find them in new condition for a much cheaper price if you find them fast enough, even though game shops have to label them used; they're virtually identical to the original prints barring the top sticky thing. The same thing happened with Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure.

Most of my games are either new or I waited for price drops. PSO I&II was used, but that's the only way I could find it. I think I even got the free month.
