DJ Format and Phi Life Cypher are british, but the other two are American. Diamond D are not that well known, but Jurrassic 5 are pretty big, they have music on JSR and Tony Hawk's and loads of things, they're pretty good.

Yeah, OutKast is good - specifically, Andre 3000. The other guy, Big Boi, is just your run of the mill guy rapping about his bling bling and bitches. Andre 3000 is actually, you know, creative.

The Love Below is a pretty good album, actually.

While Andre 3000 is far superior to Big Boi, I just gotta say that "I Like The Way You Move" is the shit.

Speakerboxxx/The Love Below = Awesome

I liked Outkast for all of three seconds.

Then again, I like Tori Amos, so my musical taste is suspect to begin with.

Oh, and I can't believe I forgot about The Beastie Boys. That's almost sinful.

I haven't listen to the radio or listen to any music for years now since I absolutely detest most of the music of this genre. Give me my oldies anytime.

When my high school band (which I was in) took a trip to Tennessee to play in a college bowl game, Three Dog Night was part of the attraction. All of these different high school bands from across the nation were there, and we simply served as the back up band to TDN.

It was pretty cool, because I was one of only a couple dozen people who even really knew who they were and I got to meet 'em briefly.

I was a little disappointed that they lip synched, though.

You could've just googled and saved yourself the impending doom.

Well, I'm a bit slow, and would have only thought of googling about a day later.

I hope history does not look at Eminem as that person for us.
They Might be Giants are our generation's musical thingy. To bad nobody knows who they are.

Meh. They're OK. They're fairly similar to Barenaked Ladies.

Yeah. My brother is into them hardcore, but they don't do too much for me.

They're fun, though, and pretty catchy. But Zeta's right on about the BNL comparison.

An arena rock band from the 60s-70s. Most people know them from "Joy to the World" (you know, "Jeremiah was a bull frog...").

I personally don't care too much either way for them. They're enjoyable, but they're not, y'know, the diggity.

Why are people trying to turn that into a Christmas song? Seriously. The Joy to the World part, I get.

But as far as I know, Jeremiah the Christmas Bullfrog does not hop onto his magic lilypad and deliver good wine to the children of the world.

Well, erm, the hymn 'Joy to the World' was around long before Three Dog Night. That's actually about baby Jesus and stuff.

Three Dog Night just turned it into a rock song.

(P.S. - if you were joking, I'm an idiot and disregard this)

No. There are commercials who are playing "Joy to the World, All the Boys and Girls, Joy to the Fishes in the Deep Blue Sea - Joy To You and Me" as a Christmas song.

Not "Joy to the World, the Lord has come."

"Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea. Jerimiah was a bullfrog" etc. etc.

I don't know what to make of it. Are they trying to use Christmas songs that are so secular, they can't be about Christmas at all?

Was it a stupid mix-up on the part of some editor?

I'd really like to know. It's starting to piss me off.
