Dude's version looks more like the SA1 version with some arms/hands he modeled himself. :P If I remember right, that SADX model I shown awhile back was infact gimped from Dude's space. It was just the head and body, though - no arms or legs (and then I added the arms/legs from the Sonic Heroes model). Which, of course, somewhat fits in with the idea that he could get the SA1 model ;P

I've heard someone at the Cult has already admitted to the ROM being hoaxed, from within the Cult itself, even.
After scanning through the ROM with a hex editor, it seems that's mostly true. Unless the ROM is either:
#1) Extremely encrypted or
#2) A bad dump or
#3) Extremely compressed
All that's in there is seemingly random data. They did a nice try at trying to simulate a "header" for the game, but the header for the Sonic DS ROM looks nothing like a typical ROM header - again, mostly random data with a few bits of text injected in to it (obvious stuff like copyright info).
And while I'm no genius when it comes to looking at stuff in hex editors, I've looked through NES, Genesis, GBA, N64 and SNES ROMs as a comparison as to how a normal ROM for dumped games looks, and it doesn't appear to match.
Although I'm not so sure it's "nothing". Folks out there could try to rename it to various different formats - video, probably, by the looks of it, see if they can get it to play on WMP or something. I've already deleted it off my system, so I can't check myself. (However, due to the header being changed/tampered with, probably won't open)

LOL he is m4k3 h0ax. I never understood the point of those, more often than not they aren't funny, most people aren't fooled, and those that are fooled usually don't give too much of a toss over it anyway. The hoaxing thing has always struck me as a wholly unconstructive waste of time.Spazz wrote:Solved:

Ditto. The only cool hoax I've ever seen is Knuckles Adventure. All others are usually done by those who call a three tailed Tails an "original" character.

Kanbei will now be referring to himself in the third person!
Oh no! Kanbei must battle inflation or risk being spammed by communist/Blue Moon infantry!
Kanbei cannot locate his sock. This creates humor. LAUGH AT KANBEI.
Kanbei can't beat the worst CO in the game. Kanbei must now end his life.
Kanbei would like to take this time to remind the kids out there, do it like Kanbei. Across the neck, not down the back.
