The first three volumes are mostly character development and plot set-up.
I got up to the part where Thorn was revealed as the princess when I last stopped reading - the comic stores around me stopped ordering Bone in favor of "edgier comics" (re: Pointless sex and violence for 36 pages).
I'd mark the Thorn thing as a spoiler, but frankly it was as obvious as Tetra being Zelda in Wind Waker. It's a fantasy story and one of the main characters is a beautiful peasant girl. Of COURSE she'll end up being revealed as the princess.

The only quibble I have with the stories beyond the Dragonslayer arc is the artwork; it seemed to get a little... well, sloppier as the story progressed.
I understand that the style of any artist is bound to change and evolve through out a story, especially one as long as Bone has been (the first issue came out in 1992 and it finally wrapped up in 2004 somewhere around 50 or 60 issues). Still, when you look back at the first three or four arcs, the artwork is incredibly rich and detailed. It looks as if it could be stills from a Disney animation or something.
That's not to say the later artwork is bad, because it certainly is not. I just much prefer the earlier artwork from Jeff Smith.

Cheers.

Couldn't get you a high quality screenshot, but this magazine scan will do right?
Oh yeah and thanks for clearing that Deku/Mr.Meat thing for me GG!/Dache. It all makes sense now.... well, except for the fact that their idea for an original fighter came out as a giant cactus that wears a sombrero with a bird under it. While cool in a strange way, that part still puzzles me a bit.
OH NOEZ!!111 You're talking about teh Bone!
Nostalgia.....overload.....must....resist...GAH!
*runs out to find Bone hardbacks*
But yeah, Bone is pretty awesome^_^

I don't have the game(though I'll probably buy it just to see this wolfmanlike Sonic in motion), but according to this guide his name is either Zodyk or Zodnik, take your pick really.
So yeah, that's all the info you're getting outta me foo'*drives off in the A-Team van*

I spit on your cinematic taste! The Big Lebowski may be strange, but it is far from stupid. In fact, I'd go as far as saying that TBL is genius.Light Speed wrote:That is a weird stupid movie. It has its moments though. They are few and far in between.
And the only explanation for one of your friend's grandparents recommending it is that your friend has the coolest grandparents in existence.
In conclusion, it's impossible to dislike a movie with such classic lines as, "You said it man. Nobody fucks with the Jesus."
Unless, of course, you don't. To each his own, I suppose.

Nope! In that level of the game, you play as a toy version of Cork Inda, the toy hunter. It just so happens that you go to Toy Hell near the end of the level to face Zodick (the Hellhog).Lakwren wrote:The Sonic monster thing looks like he's talking to the cowboy dude... On a separate note, the creator of both Blue Stinger and Illbleed, Nishigaki, died at 42 in July.

I hope this game is on the Gamecube or PS2. Sounds like an interesting game, especially with that Zodick.

Aw, that sucks. I wish I still had my Dreamcast. I only had it for a few months, because my brother pretended he was going to throw it out the window but 'accidentally' dropped it. What a bitch...aso wrote:Sorry, just the Dreamcast. There were plans to port it to the Xbox, but with the death of the creator, it'll likely remain on the DC.
