Not sure how helpful this will be, Gibbs, but if you find yourself over in Korea, try and seek out a Mr. Pizza. That restaurant makes a painstaking effort to replicate authentic American pizza, and they do a damn good job. They even give you this delicious buttery dipping sauce. Although now that I think about it, it may have just been butter. Doesn't look like they have any locations in Japan, sadly.
In regards to the artwork in question, what bothers me most about it is that Catherine doesn't seem to have actually taken a bite from the pizza. The cheese just somehow found itself on her tongue, as if the pizza literally ejaculated itself into her mouth. As weird as Japanese pizza is, I'm pretty sure it isn't capable of that.

Yeah, we've got Italian restaurants all over the place, but they serve like Italian-style pizza. The sauce is thin, there's usually no meat (or very little meat) and they're covered with oil. I mean it's not bad, but it's still not real pizza. (I don't care that they invented it, it's not real pizza.) Plus, they don't deliver.
Dominos has a presence here, but there are none anywhere near my neck of the woods. Their menu (http://www.dominos.jp/order/pizza/search/) is pretty bizarre, but if I scroll down far enough I do see a couple of things that look like they might potentially qualify for inclusion under the banner of "pizza." Pretty expensive, but I'm that desperate. Next time I'm down south I'll try it.

I had Italian Pizza. It had thin crust, some kind of feta-like cheese and almost fish-exclusive toppings. It's funny how America's take came out as probably the most balanced and universally like food. I think I'll make a pizza from scratch tomorrow. You haven't lived until you've had one of my pizzas...

It looks too much like that not to have been intentional.Pepperidge wrote:... I know that's what it's supposed to emulate. My point is that it literally looks like the pizza ejaculated onto her mouth, which sort of kills any trace of a double entendre.MiraiTails wrote:It looks too much like that not to have been intentional.Pepperidge wrote:... Okay, I've gotta ask you guys something. Now, being a lady who likes ladies, I've encountered a plethora of lady-centered pornography in my time. While I understand, at least on an intellectual level, most fetishes and interests I've come across, I will never, ever understand why you guys like seeing women dribbling cum out of their mouths, or all over their face, or what have you. I understand that blowjobs are fun, I just don't get how it's aesthetically pleasing to see what looks to me like uncooked egg whites all over a lady. What's the point?

I don't care for it either. In fact, it's quite a turn off. Worse all in Gibbon's world, it seems like a turn on for the woman to play with it before swallowing.Delphine wrote:Okay, I've gotta ask you guys something. I don't like it either, and I have no idea why some do. That said...

If I could somehow manipulate every thread on this forum to eventually turn into a discussion about ejaculating pizzas, I could die happy.

And now for some reason, I am thinking in the Samurai pizza cats and in making my own pizza, olive oil sure gives a good taste to it, but anyway, I still need a pizza oven, otherwise is not the same...

Incidentally, does anyone else have WarioWare D.I.Y.? It's pretty limited in some areas (palette, user input methods, obligatory friend codes), but there's definitely a lot of potential, too, for what amounts to a 4 to 8 second game. I've seen some creative user-created things, like these.Dr. BUGMAN wrote:Our crust is thick and our sauce is thin. But we're everywhere, so you gotta give in.
Oh, sorry, didn't mean to take the conversation away from ejaculating pizza.

And update of sorts: Catherine's trio of gameplay systems revealed (but not explained)

So it looks like Nightmare = Battle Mode, Drama = Social Links Time, and Stray Sheep = Pizza Eating Sim.

Looks like this is primarily going to be a puzzle game.
I think it looks really neat, but I'm now getting an even more distinct impression that this is basically a tech demo for Persona 5 that won't have very much meat to it.

Re: You passed time with Catherine
I don't know, I can't discern much from a rapid series of 2-second cuts. How can you guys even tell it's a puzzle game?
Do they even make trailers that show you the actual game anymore? About 90% of any given trailer I download is cutscene and the last 10% is either gameplay footage visible only to robots and sugar-charged preteens with the metabolism of a kangaroo rat - OR an experiment in triggering mass epileptic seizures through the internet.
Either one is pretty cool I guess, but usually I'd just rather see the game.

Re: You passed time with Catherine
I guess we can only assume that if they're using cut scenes and FMV to sell the game and show us how it's going to be so amazing and different from other games, the FMV and cut scenes must be the only way it's amazing and different. What makes me really sick is that it works--people start forming opinions right there, when they don't know anything about the game except for how well the developers/farmed out movie talent can put together a video.

Well, it's not like there's no good information in cutscenes. These days they're usually made with actual game graphics, so you can tell a lot about the themes and art style, which is all critically important. But it's only half the story.

Re: You passed time with Catherine
I played the demo.
It is exactly what it looks like - a simple, very fast-paced action/puzzle minigame and a wholly segregated, mostly noninteractive adventure game. I love the art and as a whole it was kind of oddly compelling and basically fun, but definitely more style than substance. I'd buy it for ten.

So did anyone else pick up the game? I beat it on Easy mode last night, only to later discover that Catherine actually has eight endings. Naturally, I fell for the trap of thinking there'd only be two possible endings, and wound up with one of the least satisfying ones. (You can follow this spoiler free guide on how to get each ending. Definitely aim for the True endings.)
Nonetheless, I was extremely impressed. This has to be the best game I've played in recent memory barring only Portal 2.

Re: You passed time with Catherine
I got the game and I think it's really good. I beat it on normal and the game and got the one of the super happy endings. The game was insanely hard still. Going to go back to playing it later this week. It's an interesting game because it is a puzzle game with a pretty deep story.
My girlfriend hates the game even though she never seen any game play yet because she fully believes it is a dating sim game. I told her it's not a dating sim game, it just has dating sim elements! She does not buy that though.

Re: You passed time with Catherine
I remember reading when the game came out that players complained it was too difficult, so they had to release a patch to ease the difficulty. I guess the US version is the patched one?
