Re: So... anybody a fan of the heavy rain?
Did you try altering the difficulty setting? I only tried on normal, but from the descriptions given in the menu, I assume that the QTE's would pan out more slowly on easy mode. My only complaint is the lack of colors on the button commands. I think my mind registers "green" or "blue" before it registers "triangle" or "X".
I liked it. Having little action commands for every mundane movement strikes me as a piss poor idea - and it is pretty corny - but it's surprisingly engaging when you're actually doing it. At any rate, I finished the demo, which is a pretty unusual thing for me to do with a demo even if I like it. I'm still not quite sold on the game because thematically it just doesn't interest me much, but we'll see how it goes.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this game. I liked the demo for the most part, except the part where you're investigating the crime scene was a tad boring. The graphics seem pretty hit or miss for me. The beginning with the detective looked really nice, and I thought his model was pretty well rendered but the woman's was pretty ugly. And then there's shit like the mall trailer which makes me want to play the game for all the wrong reasons.

This is out now, isn't it? Has anyone picked it up? What's the verdict?

I haven't started playing it yet. I may beat it this weekend if I have time.

Alright, let me rephrase my question: who's picked it up and actually started playing it?

Me. I'm about 1/3 through, according to my friends who have beaten it. Still avoiding spoilers like a fiend.

There are four main characters and any of them can survive or die and the game will continue with or without any or all of them.

The game can continue with all the characters dead?Segaholic2 wrote:There are four main characters and any of them can survive or die and the game will continue with or without any or all of them.
