Yeah, the guy who made Braid is living on the street now after spending all his savings on creating a game that nobody liked.

Oh, wait.

Yeah, don't be silly. It's not like video game companies would do something extraordinarily stupid like fire the creator of the Game Boy for one mistake.

Oh, wait...

Forgive me, Del; I'm just trying to belong.

Here's my two (well, actually three) bits...

First, I'd implement some side missions in the Adventure Fields, in the form of favors requested by NPCs. These missions would be completely optional and would come in a greater variety than the side missions of SADX. The rewards for these missions could be anywhere from extra lives to rings (to go towards gaudy chao trinkets, of course) to the multiplayer Twinkle Park cart pass.

Second, I'd make an additional Sky Chase act, at the beginning of Tails' story. Skewing the story a bit, Tails would fly into a squadron of Eggman's jet fighters, who are after the Chaos Emerald powering his plane. After successfully navigating the act, Tails would be side-snipped by some lucky sonofabitch, explaining his emergency landing in Emerald Coast.

Finally, I'd incorporate additional Action Stages for all non-Sonic characters, in which the goal is simply to make it to the end. Off the top of my head, Big could waddle through the turent section of Sky Deck in his efforts to escape the Egg Carrier.

Other than that, I'd just polish the game and make Desert Hill a bona-fide action stage.

Well the original was plagued by far too many Sonic levels. The bulk of a remake should consist mainly of treasure hunting stages except you play as Shadow and occasionally the werehog. There is potential for hundreds of great weapons Shadow could wield but a sniper rifle is essential.

The game should be an fps with a heavy multiplayer component. Station Square could be made into an awesome post-apocalyptic city.

Bad idea: The game had already 3 versions (Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure international and Sonic Adventure DX), you can play the cube version in the Wii...

But, I would dig Sonic rush adventure 2...

I'd rather transport Big a few months/years into the future (Sonic Heroes), have him grow to immense proportions, and go fishing for Egg Fleet ships.

Who's really not the final boss, as he resurrects the thunder elemental creature (who looks mean and has a few tentacles here and there) for a final battle in which froggy and Big both have to become super. However, this can only be accessed if you beat the game as Big, Froggy, Big's fishing rod, Big's left ear, The water Big fishes in, Big again, and the day in the life of an NPC.
