The story in this game has some-what the same flow as in skies of arcadia. It starts out simple and straight forward until the end where there are like 20 plot twists and explosions everywhere.

Chapter 14: Faldio shoots Alicia in order to awaken her Valkyria blood which is then used to defeat Selvaria. I assume this is the second to last chapter.

There are like fifty decisive battle to end the war once and for all. I don't know why I never realized how many times they say that.
