Yeah, that's what I said, just with a tad less hick.Yes, because the original trilogy was ONLY George Lucas' work, even though most of them were written and directed by other people.
Lucas can't write and can't direct. The new flicks just go to show how bad a film can be when he is left unchecked at the helm.

One of the reasons why I hated Epsiode 2 was because Anakin was a big, fat whining whineyface who kept getting talking too much of his lurve for former princess what-her-face (seriously, I forgot her name). I know he's going to be all evil and everything, but dang, that kid has emotional issues...maybe I'm just used to Epsiode 1. I loved little Anakin, such an adorable kid. YES, I LIKE the first film, so leave me alone.I didn't honestly think Episode 2 was all that bad. Everytime I ask someone they usually have some retarded reason that makes know sense. The first one of the other hand, woo boy that sucked.

Yeah, exactly. It feels like he keeps releasing "patches" to "fix" what he considers to be "problems" or inconsistencies with his original work. Except that his patches suck and nobody likes them.
Oh, and Episodes 1 and 2 sucked hard cock. Anyone that says otherwise is an idiot. The pinnacle of the series was Empire Strikes Back. And guess what? It wasn't directed by George "Suck My Dick" Lucas.

I dunno, I kinda liked that there KOTOR (alot), and while i dissaprove of/hate games based off of eps 1 and 2, the latest rouge squadron sucked, and it was based on the original trilogy. Speaking of "patches" people also seem to be enjoying galaxies now that they have ships, and can actually reach different planets. Still wouln't play it if they paid me ...On another note, does anyone else agree that there are too many pre-trilogy (eps. 1-3) video games out? Actually, there's probably too many Star Wars games out in general. The original Dark Forces game was seriously kickass though.

You want some reasons?
Okay, uhh... I'm not going to remember everything.
The movie was boring.
The acting blew.
They actually found an actor to play Anakin that was as annoying as Anakin in Episode 1.
Amidala wasn't any less annoying.
As Del said, there was so much green screen it was ridiculous. There was a snippet of footage from early Episode 3 filmings, and almost every shot in the clip was green or blue-screened. It's actually become a running joke amongst me and my friends... It's like they don't use any actual sets anymore. Plus they should just fire all the actors and have everyone CG'd. At least we'd get more emotional performances.
I thought the Yoda fight was stupid. Funny to watch, but stupid.
The Star Wars story has become pretty idiotic. I liked it better in the original trilogy when there wasn't all this stupid new stuff that they keep introducing. They can take their midi-chlorians and shove it.
In my opinion, Samuel L. Jackson was one of the few (if not the only) cool things about Episode 2.

As far as the new movies go, Episode I was butchered by the constant appearance of the insidious Jar Jar Binks and Episode II was ruined by some of the worst dialouge I've heard in a movie. Still, I don't think they were incredibly bad films. I mean, when it comes to bad movies none can top the overated shit film "The Blair Witch Project". I could have saved $15 by not buying that peice of shit.

Re: Heh
And what exactly is wrong with that? I see no problem with Lucas making a movie that he likes, and if he thinks the ideal movie is bad acting, bad plotting, and bad charactering covered up with Supa Snazzy!!!!11 special effects, why shouldn't he make such a movie? It's his time and money being spent, not yours.Dash wrote:You know, George Lucas and Ken Penders(as they are now, anyway) strike me as the kind of people who would say "My work isn't for the critics"
**wishes he could find that Penny Arcade strip**
Just be happy that you aren't employed to watch such crap.

I've already stated how much Anakin annoyed the living hell out of me. The guy has terrible issues and he just whines throughout the entire movie. He's like an angst Tidus which makes it even worse.I'll agree Empire Strikes Back was the best in the series, but I do not see what was so bad about Episode 2. You are proving what I said earlier, everyone just says it sucks and has nothing to back it up. What sucked about it?
The movie, overall, was boring. I was so close to falling asleep and I never fall asleep in the movie theaters.
