I don't have any reason to use Japanese language settings on a game unless the voice acting is really bad. I wouldn't want an import game either because it would just look awkward with all my NTSC games. I guess I'm just too American.

When SA1 came out, I was too blown away that Sonic had gone from sprite animations trying to tell a story to full-on dialog, satisfying that little piece of me that still missed the cartoons too much to care how shitty the voices were. I don't really have an excuse for Heroes and Shadow, since one had a lack of a good plot, and one had a lack of a plot altogether, except maybe force of habit.

I really like Sonic and Eggman's voice actors, they're perfect for the characters. I was never too fond of the voices they had in the 1996 two part OVA.Isuka wrote:And this is shocking; I definitely don't like the Japanese voices. Though Kanemaru does a good job, most of the others suck.
I'm mostly neutral to the other Japanese voices. With the exception of Omochao they didn't annoy me, which was good enough. I guess Gerald Robotnik was good too.
Whilst we're on the topic, are there any clips of Metal Sonic's Japanese voice from Sonic Heroes floating around anywhere?
