Wait, you don't think Parappa is all that weird, but you think Super Puzzle Fighter is super weird?

What the fuck, man?

So the definition of something weird is something that you don't like?

Thats the closest thing to a complete sentence that I've ever seen you post.

As for weird games, I'd have to go with Seaman as well. I also have a weird Super Famicom game in which you can chose to play as a Gundam, Ultraman, or the Masked Rider... And you beat shit up. It's a decent game.

Perhaps I've just been playing weird Japanese niche games too long, but I found nothing weird about Super Puzzle Fighter 2. It's an insanely fun and well-thought out puzzle game, and the super deformed-SF characters just add to the flavor. It's probably one of my favorite Capcom games.

Parappa, however, has a karate-chopping Onion. If you don't think that is weird, you're on crack.

Wow - compared to all this stuff my collection seems comparatively normal. I think the wierdest I got was James Pond 2 on the megadrive, and that's not wierd so much as horribly, horribly annoying.

I have definately got to get parappa the rappa. I thought it was just your standard everyday music game with a unique art style.

And has anyone played the SNES game Unicycle? You were a unicycle and went through Sonic like levels without hardly any powerups or anything to collect really... I think that's what it was about. On one level I think I remember racing another unicycle. Maybe it was a racing game and I jut don't remember it.
The only thing I remember about that game is if you put in your player name as "Sonic" or "Sega", the game wouldn't take it and would accuse you of being uncool.

Because, ya know, Sonic is much less cool than a game about fucking unicycles.

The weirdest game that I own is probably Seaman. I'm not really over-flowing with cash, so I try to keep my collection down to the great "must own" titles, rather than diving into obscurity.

I have James Pond II. No matter how long I play that game I never seem to make any progress at all. I seems like the damn game goes on forever and is really freaking hard.

My bowels have moved.

While we're on the subject, I mean.

EDIT: This doesn't make sense anymore now that, amusingly, tron 2.0's posts have been edited to the SCHLUUURRRPY..

To put it in context, tron 2.0 did say, above me, something like "my posts have been edited"

A pot hole? A whole hole? A really big hole?

Well, c'mon already. What kinda hole?

EDIT: Again, to put this (and Zeta's response) in context, tron 2.0 originally responded to my jest with "A HOLE"

Though I like his new posts much more.

EDIT (by Esrever): No context for you!

Incredible Crisis is weird I guess. It's also really hard because they make you do things that kill your hands.

The Able Hole. A team of soldiers accused of a crime they didn't commit. They went into hiding. Now, if there's no one else to turn to, you call:

The A-Hole! Mouse Hole, Pot Hole, and Hole in One.

And Featuring Mr. T as "Hole Nine Yards"

I never even made it past the first set of challenges, and I had to cheat to get past the stupid "run from the wrecking ball" scene. I got to the part where you're giving oral or whatever to that chick on the ferris wheel, which I think is the last of Taneo's games. I'd really like to play the rest of the game, but I can't make my thumb vibrate fast enough.

Is it supposed to be this hard to Japanese players, or is there just some genetic physical difference in my American hands?

I played through the whole thing, but I did break down and use a turbo controller towards the very end, it was getting too demanding and I wanted that game done. I think Taneo's sequence was the best in the game but there were a few other good spots here and there.

The trick I use is to slightly bounce the controller while I'm hitting the button, that way my thumb doesn't actually have to move as far away from the button in order to press it the next time, sort of balancing the work with the rest of my hand. It's still pretty tiring to play a game like this though.

The best of the ones I played is that part right before the ferris wheel where Taneo is in the ambulance and the freaking doctors are trying to determine his level of consciousness by asking all sorts of technical questions with, like, three second time limits.

I actually really like quiz games.
