Unless you meant with new controllers, in which case, in order to keep costs down for those who have no need of the nunchuk. After all, while it's safe to say that many single-player games will assume you have one, multiplayer games are another story entirely - Monkey Ball, for instance, has many mini-games that don't need the nunchuk, and it explicitly tells you which ones those are.

I was talking about extra Wiimotes, genius. Seriously, you can find 3 Wiimotes, but try and find 3 numchucks, I DARE you.Zeta wrote:It comes with a nunchuck, genius.I can understand Wii not coming with component cables, as most of the casual gaming audience doesn't have that kind of TV yet, but what's the deal about having to buy a numchuck separately? That's bullshit.

I wouldn't give up on it just yet. Today I saw couple classified ads in the paper, both advertising a PS3 and some games/accessories, and both asking $1600.Green Gibbon! wrote:I almost bought one then and there to sell online, but I figured that if I could randomly walk into Best Buy and find some for sale, there couldn't have been much of a shortage. I now realize it's because I keep snoozing through opportunities like this that I have become such an utter and complete failure at everything.
Shortages may be finite, but lack of common sense apparently isn't!

It's a buyer's market.Double-S- wrote:That is an extremely generous upper bound. Even if you meant worldwide, it's still a little high. I'm pretty sure the reports have been 150k - 200k PS3s sold so far.Baba O'Reily wrote:There are less than 500,000 PS3s on the market right now...
And those buyers can go sell to the other, misinformed buyers.

At the time, yes. But now that I've actually gone back and checked... nope, still the same situation.CE wrote:And by "ages", you mean seven days?
Actually, I take that back. It's even worse: pretty much the ONLY thing they had that weren't the games themselves were those controller gloves. That's it.
