I'm pretty sure the Wii comes with a remote and a nunchuck.

I can understand Wii not coming with component cables, as most of the casual gaming audience doesn't have that kind of TV yet, but what's the deal about having to buy a numchuck separately? That's bullshit.
It comes with a nunchuck, genius.

Unless you meant with new controllers, in which case, in order to keep costs down for those who have no need of the nunchuk. After all, while it's safe to say that many single-player games will assume you have one, multiplayer games are another story entirely - Monkey Ball, for instance, has many mini-games that don't need the nunchuk, and it explicitly tells you which ones those are.

That is an extremely generous upper bound. Even if you meant worldwide, it's still a little high. I'm pretty sure the reports have been 150k - 200k PS3s sold so far.

I was talking about extra Wiimotes, genius. Seriously, you can find 3 Wiimotes, but try and find 3 numchucks, I DARE you.

I've seen more Nunchucks in stores than Wiimotes. Which makes sense, seeing as how you can play some games with a Wiimote alone, but not with a nunchuck.

I'd say it's the exact opposite around here, but admittedly I haven't looked in ages.

And by "ages", you mean seven days?

I wouldn't give up on it just yet. Today I saw couple classified ads in the paper, both advertising a PS3 and some games/accessories, and both asking $1600.

Shortages may be finite, but lack of common sense apparently isn't!

It's a buyer's market.

And those buyers can go sell to the other, misinformed buyers.

At the time, yes. But now that I've actually gone back and checked... nope, still the same situation.

Actually, I take that back. It's even worse: pretty much the ONLY thing they had that weren't the games themselves were those controller gloves. That's it.
