Woah, don't speak for all of us! And I wouldn't exactly consider Mario to be a parody of any kind.

Is a fat plunder who is addicted to hallucinogens mushrooms, Google about it.

Besides, the Sega vs Nintendo war ended and Pokemon made Nintendo win it. But a new rival appeared (Sony) and when it seems Sony is winning, Microsoft still wants to take control with his PC disguised as a console.

But who cares? we cant do nothing about it.

[whistles] You've got "bitter" written all over you in sixty different indecipherable fonts. To see a saga like Mario's durate that long, I can see where words like "overrated" might come into play, but to be a Sonic fan, it'd be kind of irresponsible to praise the blue guy's series without realizing that Mario pretty much founded the genre that Sonic was merely an entry in (albeit quite a solid one).

And your posts all smack with that distinct odor of company fanboyism. If I were in charge of the world, I'd take all the homosexuals out of the hetero camps and fill them up with the Console War Kids. I doubt it would make them any less obnoxious, but my second order of business would be to cut these camps off from the internet, thus causing me to once and for all eliminate aspirin from my shopping list.

Yes, Baba. Yes it is. Good eye. I will now stop calling you "Teenage Wasteland" behind your back.

Is that some kind of crack about his ass?

...

Moving on...

Also, the second Phoenix Wright game is coming to america. As in, the second for GBA, not the fourth one.
That confused me for a second until I checked the link and realized it's a DS version of the second GBA game, and not the second GBA game itself, which would be kind of awkward at this point.

So they're up to four games now, right? I'm still new to the series (currently just starting Chapter 4) but it's been nothing but a blast so far, I'm happy to see we'll be getting more of it in a language I can grasp.

No, it's just a Who joke.

I really want to pick up the sequel to Phoenix Wright, but I'm stuck in the fifth story. And with Phoenix, when I get stuck, I don't like to go back in there, even though it's usually fun.

That's the best part of being generic, obviously. Mario is a blank slate that can be adapted to anything.
Mario Golf, sure! Mario Kart? Definitely! Mario Fishing? Why not!

Wood can do anything, but once it's a chair it makes a crap table.

... Curious.

EDIT: They're most probably stoned with the same crack. In 32-bit and 128-bit flavors.

This game looks awesome and all, but there's just one thing that's really annoying me.
Image
They decided to make SMB1 Mario's clothes red and blue instead of the red and brown like it was in the game. I know it's a silly thing to be annoyed about, but for some reason it really bugs me.

If you're going to make something look intentionally retro, then don't update the colors, because that just un-retros it, you know.

Mario didnt founded it, Space Panic was made in 1980(One year before donkey kong) and was a platform videogame.

So why quote all of that post for that one point?
By the way, Mario was the first side-scrolling platformer, everything else had the whole level on the screen.
And I wouldn't even bother to argue, I have a book on the whole history of Computer gaming from Pong to PSP which is my source and also a requested source by Gibbs in the past.

Image
Heck, here's even a screen shot to prove the point. Fixed screen, ladders and you have to dig holes to defeat enemies. When people consider platformers these days they usually think about things like jumping (useful for jumping from platform to platform) and collecting things which was a trait started off by a short fat plumber.

Oh and btw, I have a spare copy of the book if anyones interested.

Yeah, a platform game with no jumping...isn't. Bionic Commando's grappling hook gets by on a technicality.

Perhaps he wanted to emphasize the fact that Dack has Neil Flynn in his avatar.

Or, he's stupid.

I'd prefer to think the former.

How does quoting someones text emphasize their avatar? As much as you probably like Neil Flynn, I think we are going to have to go objectively with your latter.

If they switched the retro colors back wouldn't they have to switch the normal colors as well to avoid crazy-annoying discontinuity?

The 1st Paper Mario on Gamecube was amazing. It kept me interested for ages and I never got bored. Even after completing it there was more to do.
This looks interesting because of the sidescrolling look and I'm glad that it will be available on Gamecube. Shows that the Gamecube is certainly not dead.

The Thousand Year Door was the first Paper Mario on Gamecube, though not the first in the series. You didn't have to bite his head off for that, The T.

OKay Mr T I'll xlear this up.
When I said 1st Paper Mario on Gamecube that's what I meant.
It was the 1st Paper Mario game on the GAMECUBE.
I know full well that the original was on N64.

I didn't mean 1st Paper Mario ever. I was talking about the 1st Gamecube title, NOT the 1st Paper Mario title.

And don't call me an idiot alright!

I'm guessing Dr K is British, plus he had a good point.
