That has got to be some kind of commentary. I did not expect them to break the fourth wall on this one.

Teenage Americans think random Japanese is cool. Teenage Japanese think random English is cool.Watching those videos of the Japanese version, I wonder why the anouncer's voice is in English?

I actually prefer the Japanese-English; "Game Set", "Koopa", and "Ice Climber" all sound cooler than their dub versions. I love Engrish. Mostly because I can't speak Japanese.Zeta wrote:Teenage Americans think random Japanese is cool. I figured it was because Sonic completely stole Snake's thunder as a surprise character.DackAttac wrote:That has got to be some kind of commentary. I did not expect them to break the fourth wall on this one.

What? He does it right at the start of his section of the video, and he's facing away from the camera, but its definitely that pose.j-man wrote:failfailfailfailfailHybrid wrote:His "idle" poses are the pose he makes upon completing an act in S3&K

Yeah, it's that you noticed that and cared enough to point it out.
And being able to elaborate, sadly, will add at least two additional fails.

You do realize you're telling me I "fail" on a Sonic the Hedgehog internet forum, and that the reason for my failure is paying attention to said game series?
Right.
Right.

Re: Smash Bros 3 Site Goes Live.

So obvious. The random Midna in the corner kinda takes away the impact.

Glad I wasn't the only one who saw the resemblance.

I was really puzzled by this one until I realized they were just statues.

Are you stuck in this midwestern US snowstorm? Can't get to the midnight launch?
2P START! has a solution.

I'm kinda confused why Knuckles in in the above picture entitled "Sonic Rush", as he only appeared twice, both in minor cutscenes.

The pictures were sent in by fans. They only titled it Sonic Rush because the only other logical thing to call it would be SONIC The Hedgehog.

They obviously wanted to go with the four best characters in the series.

No, it's because you said it was his S3K pose, when he's been finger-wagging and foot-tapping since Sonic 1. That's why you fail. But it's cool, no-one minds.Hybrid wrote:You do realize you're telling me I "fail" on a Sonic the Hedgehog internet forum, and that the reason for my failure is paying attention to said game series?

Re: Smash Bros 3 Site Goes Live.
So I managed to get this, despite the fact that I live in one of the many states that got tremendous snowfall, closing off roads. I must say, I thought I was good at Smash Bros. I'm not. I had to continue at least three times in Classic (Normal/3 Stock). Sigh...
What I've seen of Adventure mode is pretty cool, anyway. That's the one mode I didn't spoil for myself.

Re: Smash Bros 3 Site Goes Live.
It's really amazing how confusing it is to play this game on one of the new controllers -- even the classic controller -- if you are used to playing it on a Gamecube! The Classic controller or Wiimote/nunchuk setups have enough buttons and should work fine for anyone who isn't fighting against years of habit. But boy, I sure am glad they kept Cube controller support. (Which was a pretty astonishing move when you think about it, considering that if they hadn't, they could have used this game to sell a ton of wiimotes.)

Re: Smash Bros 3 Site Goes Live.
I picked up my copy earlier along with the strategy guide.
I noticed that classic mode is a bit longer in Brawl than it was in Melee. Subspace Emissary plays alot like the 2-D Kirby games. (That's HAL for you.) I spoiled the game for myself and looked at the final character roster in the guide and I must say I am quite pleased. (Almost) all the trailers can be viewed in the options menu under data, which is nice to have. I'm still very early in the game as far as unlocking everything and intend to take my time with it.

Re: Smash Bros 3 Site Goes Live.
I barely got to GameStop in time to pick it up. Got Marth and Ness. Subspace Emissary is a lot harder than I thought with the wave after wave of enemies. Feels like CPU cheats sometimes because you can get a lot of characters up to 200% and they still won't die.
