I'm beginning to think these Final Smash attacks will be pretty balanced. We have Link, who appears to only be able to attack one enemy with his Final Smash. Then we have Pikachu, who can attack a large amount of enemies, but risks falling off the edge of the board. And finally we have Mario. He attacks in a vague <-shape with him at the left. This allows him to attack more characters who are farther away from him, while leaving an open spot for enemies that are just out of range. It makes me curious as how they'll handle these attacks for the other characters.

It somewhat saddens me that the titanic labour of getting every single transcending videogame music composer to work in the soundtrack seems to have fallen short; the list lacks Hitoshi Sakimoto (and all the rest of Basiscape's crew) and Shoji Meguro.

Also, maybe someone would like to hear some Jun Senoue's rock, but most won't care.

http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/fox.html

In case anyone forgot about the site over the general WTFery of the Sonic RPG news.

Nothing new here apart from FINALLY finding out how Fox pulls off that "Reflector" move.

It took a while, but there's a "new" confirmed character- an officially brunnete Zelda.

I'm not really sure what to think of this dark of hair. I'm sure it will grow on me though.

I wonder if this means Shiek will return in some way.

I hope not! I'm tired of my friend Chris using Sheik to kick the crap out of me.

You can't please everyone I guess. Though now I think this may solidify Ganondorf's return, and I'm hoping he has his Twilight design as well.

I think that Zelda's new design is positively smashing.

If Ganondorf returns, I sure as hell hope he's not just a Capt. Falcon clone again. At least give him his broadsword like he had in his SSBM victory poses!

I always hated that he never used it during gameplay.

Given how integral Sheik was to Zelda's gameplay last time, I doubt he/she/it will be removed, or separated. Without Sheik, Zelda's pretty boring.

While we're on the subject, I'm still not clear on how the Samus/Zero Suit thing will work. Are they separate characters? Is it a Zelda/Sheik thing?

The way I see it, Zelda and Sheik can't be the same character this time. In Melee, it was Ocarina's Zelda, hence why she could transform. In Brawl, this is fairly obviously the Twilight Princess Zelda. She shouldn't have that ability.

Last I checked, the characters in SSB were meant to amalgamations of all their different interpretations. So you shouldn't rule that out over something as trivial as an outer design.

That can only be applied to the Zelda games though. There never has been a consistant continuity with those games, so Link in Twilight Princess is not the same person as Link in Ocarina of Time, whereas Mario, Samus, and the other Nintendo characters have always been the same person in each of their games.

It's been stated before that it'd work like the Zelda/Sheik thing, though HOW exactly has yet to be confirmed.

The Ocarina of Time medley looks sweet. So does the princess.

That medley made me want to play Ocarina all over again.

Not necessarily. Melee's trophies made it obvious that we were playing as the Zelda/Link/Ganondorf from Ocarina of Time. Unless they completely forget to mention Twilight Princess in whatever Trophy-equivalent they have in this game, then this Zelda is obviously different and hence shouldn't be able to turn into Sheik.

Yet the trophy for Donkey Kong stated that he's the same one from the arcade when it's clearly Rare's DK, and the description for Daisy said she was in Mario Golf, even though she wasn't, and that the Great Fox appeared in SNES Star Fox even though it first appeared in SF64, so they aren't entirely accurate.

Also by your logic, Mario shouldn't be able to shoot fireballs since he's not wearing the Fire Suit, Kirby should not have his Cutter, Hammer, Stone and Burn attacks since he hasn't copied those respective abilities, and Link should not have the boomerang since he's clearly the adult Link from OoT.
