Maybe they actually made this game a long time ago and just never got around to releasing it until now.
Man that cover makes me so happy.

Am I the only person on the whole internet that thinks this is all really, really stupid?

I think it's stupid too. Bad graphics for the sake of nostalgia is irritatingly stupid. I will give Capcom credit for throwing long time fans a god damn bone every once in a while, though.

I think getting so hung up on 8-bit graphics is irritatingly stupid.

No, but if it's good as Mega Mans 3, 5, or 6, I'll be excited to play it nonetheless. I just don't want another Mega Man 1 or 2.

Doing this to capture the classic gamer who feels alienated by recent trends is as shameless as Sonic Riders was to the X-Treme set. If the game performs on par with the classics, then I won't deny it its right to don its appearance, but right now this feels pretty manipulative.

Uh-oh.

Nope. 4 was boring and unfun.

International agent, martial artist, and now (officially) a news reporter? Is there anything this woman can't do?

So that's Magma Man right? Whatever it is it looks like Air Man/Napalm Man/Fire Man's parts cobbled all together. Wild.

You know what I want? A MegaMan style Pokemon game. Seriously. Where you go through and collect all the Robot Masters from all the different franchise and fight them against eachother. Battle Network almost did this but crapped out at the last second.

I'll pit my Bon-Bonne, Overdrive Ostritch, and Plantman against your FireMan.EXE, Hivolt Raptoroid, and Maha Ganeshariff.

I know this is a somewhat severe bump, but I thought I'd share a few
lynx links and such:
The game is currently set for release on two dates: Sept. 22 (WiiWare-US), and Sept. 24 (WiiWare-JPN; XBLA/PSN-USA). (IGN claims the US dates are final, but I don't know for certain any of the dates other than the one for Japan.)
Also, I found
a website with a CD rip of the Original Soundtrack for the game . (I recommend "Tornado Thunder".)
ALSO also, IntiCreates (the people making the game) are releasing a special "Arrange Soundtrack" for the game, like they did with the Zero/ZX games they made as well.
Here's the site for that .

I was a bit concerned about the soundtrack after having heard the totally drab "Tornado Thunder" back in the preview, but they totally pulled through in the end. It's at least on par with MM3, and, like, that's almost as good as MM2!
"Galaxy Fantasy", "Hornet Dance" and "We're The Robots" are hot shit.

I kind of like "Overdrive Scramble" and "Maze of Death", myself.
Man, all this music lifted from Mega Man 2 , and no Wily Castle Stage 1? Heresy.
