I still don't understand why Silver is there, though.

Silver is there for the same reason that "In his World" is there as one of the songs, they tried to please every gen fan.

But hey! they pleased us more than the noob fans, and they tried putting "You can do anything" but I agree with you, it should've been Eggman running around with them...or atleast in his Eggmobile flying around and dropping bombs or badniks on the combatants, that would've rocked.

PS. The reason Shadow was the only AT was that Snake only has 1 AT which is Grey Fox.

Yeah, but Silver is probably the least iconic recurring character in the series right now. Amy would've made more sense. Or Eggman. Nobody really gives a toss about Silver.

Yeah, I forgot about Amy!... man! she really is hated isn't she? :/

Probably adding Silver was idea of Sonic Team, they just love the sucker.

Or, hey, if you really do need current-gen, Blaze has at least become the face of the Rush series which has injected the first streak of dignity into Sonic on Nintendo.

Yes, I also thought about Blaze, hmm... there are just so many darn characters! you know what? FANG should've been running with them. :PY:

But yeah Blaze would've been better than Silver only because she actualy runs and shes a girl, they needed a girl char..right??, Silver looks all omnipotent flying besides them, its pretty funny and sad. :PB:

But bleh, like Hybrid said...Amy should've been there...not to mention the SEGA Valentine's bracelet accessory, but thats another story.

For those who care, today's Dojo update was Luigi.

Also, new English-language trailer. Check the ending shot, it's pretty epic.

So, Silver. Whatever. The thing that really pisses me off is that those are literally the best 3D representations of Sonic characters I have ever seen, and they're just background decoration for a fighting game. Get your shit together plz Sonic Team ;__;

Its not so much a complaint, rather just an odd choice for them to make that I don't understand.

That trailer was rad.

Knuckles' design peaked in Sonic Adventure, period, and I doubt that'll ever change. SA2 put some really ugly accessories on his hands, and in every version after that, his hands were the size of said accessories.

not to mention they shortened his snout, made his nose tiny, and his head more circular, eradicating what little shapes he had to differentiate himself from the rest of the cast.

The Sonic win theme is the old level complete melody! <3 I hope none of these tracks are thrown out for the US version because of Japanese lyrics like in Ai no Uta or something.

Link's Awakening Medley! It's no Ballad of the Windfish, but I'm still more than satisfied.

When you said this, I thought you meant to Sonic 1's & 2's level complete, and you got me all excited. :-(

Kind of disappointed that only Angel Island is new. But I guess that just spares us from Senoue turning Green Hill and Scrap Brain into more of his guitar masturbation.

He makes me feel like a "musical voyeur" sometimes.

And I'm getting the '06 version of the stage complete jingle in place of Sonic's victory BGM here.
It's not bad, but since they got both Sonic 1 and 2's tunes (demonstrating that Masato Nakamura didn't have any qualm$ this time around) they could have brought the original one, too.

Hey everyone complaining about the music: you're complaining about the music! It's sort of ridiculous!

Apparently the Brawl tournaments that Nintendo is hosting have (gasp!) items set to maximum. Non tourney players have been winning some of the bigger (read:city-wide) matches, and the tourney players are piiiiiiiiiiised.

Music is key Locit, everything is! and that is why Nintendo still lives.

Items in tournaments? those are really aimed at everyone aren't they? hence the name "Wii"

Ha. Real players know how to deal with items.

I have a bit of trouble believing that the addition of items would shake things up that much, though; more likely it's because, well, it's a new game. The tournament players have yet to actually learn it, and in particular, they're probably going to still be thinking of Melee in many ways.

Yes, real players know how to deal with explosive crates/barrels/bombs/capsules spawning in front of them during a match and killing them. sarcasm

Of course, I agree that another part of the reason they're losing is because Brawl is totally different to Melee, and since not many people outside Japan have Brawl yet, the Melee pro's are only on slightly higher ground than everyone else.

This has never happened to me. Thing is, none of those items (Except perhaps the barrel, which shouldn't be a problem, anyway) are actually dangerous until thrown. Even the Bomb-Ombs are inert for a few seconds before they start running around. Seriously, as far as I can tell, any item-related death that can't be anticipated is a freak occurrence indeed!
