Everything I know is a falsehood thanks to Mars, Inc.

So, I went to the candy machine the other day during my lunch break. Usually, I'm a Snickers fan, but something else chocolately caught my eye. The package sat atop the shelf of the adjacent machine; I had to wait before I was able to purchase the product due to another person in front of me. While I waited there, I noticed the vaguely homosexual-looking package... It looked vaguely familiar...

"What the heck? Chocolate skittles?!"

Yes, Chocolate Skittles. Something is wrong with the world if Mars has to make a chocolate variation of their fruit-centered product, despite the fact that it already has one! The new "Taste the Dirt" confectionaries debuted at the "All Candy Expo 2007". Apparently, there is such a thing.

I showed this to my friends and family members, and they were equally shocked. I didn't taste enough to make a real opinion, as most everyone wanted to try out this new anomaly posthaste, but the first one was pretty bad.

Oh, and on a totally unrelated note, TVTropes (an awesome wiki that I got into from lurking on these very forums) suffered a database crash.

That sounds gross. I like chocolate but I hate chewy chocolate, like Tootsie Rolls. Fuck Tootsie Rolls.

I am trying to imagine chocolate flavor with Skittles texture, and failing.

I restocked the checkout candy in the supermarket I work at last week and realized that the classic candy bars weren't moving dick for product. Some were covered with dust. However, I had to dispose of the empty boxes from last summer's new things that were almost gone—white chocolate everything, a Reese's Crunchy candy bar of some kind, etc, etc.—and replace them with the new shit. Mint 3 Muskateers, Reese's nougat bars, a whole mess of crap I don't remember. I think it's really down to the point that they'll introduce new product for half a year or so, and then discontinue them and replace them with the next new thing. Really, there are a million diets these days, none of them involve candy bars. So they need to up the ante on temptation with a fresh new spin-off (or, in the case of that Take 5 thing, a whole new candy bar.)

This seems to be evidence the well is running dry.
