What I seem to have forgotten is why the Jews needed a country to call their own anyway. It's not like they aren't still all over the place, owning banks and writing sitcoms. Why couldn't they just stay where they were? Were there none in Israel already?

Basically, there were two groups of Jews who wanted their own country: The religious ones who were all "Israel is the holy land, God granted it to us!" and the political ones who were just "We need our own country where we won't be a minority and won't be the victim of anti-Semitism". The former had been around for quite a long time but weren't very big; the latter only became a real force after the Holocaust. They had no insistence on taking Israel, but they still weren't big enough by themselves to get anything done; they had to join with the religious ones. In fact at one point they were offered land somewhere down in Africa and were prepared to take it, only the religious ones wouldn't stand for it.

And once again, religious extremists made the world a worse place.
Take the muslims, for example. Most of their beliefs are pretty "sane" - at least, way more sane than catholics - but the terrorists get more publicity.
My point is: as easier as it makes to recognize certain peoples, generalizing (or whatever is the right word) never works.

Both Islam and Christianity are based off of Judaism. Therefore, Jews caused all the problems of the world since Christians and Muslims caused them all - including the poor quality of Sonic Riders and it's back cover.

I'd point how that only proves how a good base of the north american media portrays all muslims thinking the same way as the ones that show up on the news, but the rest of your post kinda changed my mind.

I actually thought his declarations were taken out of context and that maybe what he really meant was that, after roughly a hundred thousand years of human evolution, each race would be ever so slightly different depending on what the weather conditions, local flora and fauna, land's terrain condition and that specific society's culture expected from them (other than extintion by Darwin's theory, that is), leading to mental and comprehensive development differences, as well as physical ones.

But maybe he was just being a racist asshole and I could've been doing something more important than worrying about this guy's blabberin'.
