Apparently there's a sequel to Ryu ga Gotoku (Yakuza). Had no idea SEGA was still supporting the PS2.

Even with the launch of new hardware the PS2 continues to maintain the maturity market share of the console market. it would be no surprise that publishers are still supporting the platform, it is however a surprise that a sequel is being made to such a obscure game.

It isn't obscure in Japan as the first game was so successful that they rereleased the game as a "BEST" version--which I believe it is the equivilant of the "Greatest Hits" line here. The sequel is also doing pretty well.

So far, it only bombed in the US with less than 30K units sold.

The first game sucked ass. It felt like a comedy budget Shenmue. If anyone disagrees, form an orderly queue and I'll fight you.

It sounds like someone is angry that the world will receive a Ryu ga Gotoku 3 before a Shenmue 3.

You have to admit, that doesn't say much for the world.

I haven't been all that impressed by what I've seen of Yakuza. However, this particular game is interesting because it lets you alter the events of the Destiny TV series so that it's actually good. (ie: you can kill Lacus)
